i am getting married soon and i want to wear flip flops! i hate dress shoes and i want to be comfy on my wedding day! i am known for wearing my "flippers". my dress is long so you wont be able to see them unless i lift my dress up. my dress is pearl (not white or ivory) and i am using claret and silver colors! do u know where i can find a pretty pair of pearl, claret or silver flip flops? i dont want just rubber ones, i want something that looks nice - with no heel whatsoever! i have looked everywhere online and cant find any! any suggestions?

Try bridal boutiques in your area...I wore white sneakers on my wedding day, it is best to be comfortable, being that you have to wear that dress all day long too! I am not one who likes to dress up, but I knew on my day I wanted a traditional gown, but I didn't want the back ache along with it! Good luck

It's your day so you should do what you want!
I will suggest thought that you either wear heels at the church or really practice walking in the flip flops to walk properly. Most people don't notice but you walk differently in different shoes.
I had a friend wear those "bridal sneakers" and she walked like a 300 pound dinosaur down the isle, mind you she's 120 soaking wet and 6 foot tall. She look terrible and sloppy and people commented on how her movement were so strange. You can always change your shoes to flip flops later.. Or like I said practice walking in them and watch yourself in a mirror. Heels may be painful but they may you look graceful and walk dainty.
Good luck on the flip flops- I would try eBay! Everything is on there! You could also take a plan pair of flip flops with a fabric strap and glue clear AB flat back gem stones all over them- firemountain.com is where I buy all mine. I am doing that for my shoes.

I wore ballet flats on my wedding day, I'm with you, I hate heels too. You're on your feet ALOT, and the worst thing is to be uncomfortable. BTW, I always think it's fun during the garter toss "ceremony" (if you're doing that) when the bride is wearing "nontraditional" shoes. I've seen tennies, one gal wore red heels with ribbon straps, and my sister wore flip flops. So wear what you want to, you'll be a "lady" no matter what!!!

Check DSW or some store like that, go back into the clearance racks too, I'll bet you'll find a nice white sandal there. They should all be on sale right now.

I got shoes like you're describing for my wedding. I found silver flip-flops with a very low heel at the local bridal boutique. A lot of women are opting for comfort with a little bit of funk instead of traditional heels. Good luck!

Well, I guess most ppl. would find this unusual, but in my business its right up my alley. Try going to this link. I have done this style of a wedding for a bride b4. She actually sported her flippers as if it was high fashion. And it was, my decor was based on a "hippy" style. It went wonderful. I think you will like these selections though, there are some great selections...

I wore white leather ballet slippers on my wedding day - my feet hurt whenever I wear heels so I don't wear them. The slippers were totally comfortable and just fine. Wear the flippers - more power to you! The wedding day is a long one and you want to be comfortable.

rock on hon! go for comfort, but take my adive and have a pair of low heels to throw on just in case you need them - you never know! I think I saw a pair of exactly what you are looking for at Old Navy for about 3 bucks the other day

Just about any bridal dress shop will have them. Complete with rhinestones or pearls. Also any bridal magazine will have ads in the back for them. Have a great day!
