Are you underage? Is your boyfriend a good guy? I don't know the story...but Yes I would want my parents blessings before I was married. you may be mad at them for some reason now..but If you get married without them you will regret it in the end. They love you and if their not giving their blessing there has to be a reason for it...think about it

I think it is rather old fashioned to ask for their blessings. Ultimately your marriage is exactly that ... yours. It is not their marriage and they should accept your decision whatever the case.

What is the point of it anyway? What if they say no? If you have made the decision to get married, will you seriously not get married just because your parents don't give you their blessing?

Only if it's important to you to get your parent's blessing. If you would like to ask for it because it will make you feel good about yourself and because you would like to show them your respect then go ahead. You can always tell them to screw themselves and get married anyway if they don't agree to give it.
