don't use david's bridal. it's the wal-mart of bridal stores. you can get a better buy by going thru local bridal stores (and they work with other stores, nationwide, and possibly int'l, so you can get the dress to anyone, anywhere)
that's what we did. we went to a local bridal store in st. louis, and they got in contact with a bridal store in atlanta (where one of the other bridesmaids is) and got the dress for her (sized, and shipped) there.

I am getting married in September and my sister (who is also my maid of honor) lives in Greece. I got her measurements and called my local David's Bridal and ordered the dress she chose from the website. Are there downsides?? Sure. She can't try on the dress and she will have to get it altered anyway because the sizes that the company offers are for taller girls (5'6" and taller) and the sizes tend to run small. It's your wedding, so she should wear whatever dress you tell her to. Just make sure she pays you back for the dress ;-)

Have you thought about this.....Call her and get her measurements. Take the measurements to the David's Bridal near you and buy the dress a size or two bigger. Send it to her and let her find a person to alter the dress to her size. Kind of a pain in the butt, but at least your bridesmaids will all have the same dress.
I'm usually a size 4 but when my best friend got married I had to get a dress from David's in a size 6.

DAVID'S BRIDAL:
Doesn't seem to have a shop in Canada listed. They only offer an toll free 888-480-BRIDE number. So you can order a catalogue.
I know this is going to seem like an odd answer, but...
I run a wedding board on MSN communities. It's all brides discussing issues, concerns, problems etc. They're helpful, informative and supporting. If you're a bride to be, would you be interested in joining?? There's roughly 200 brides in there now.

Just put in the comment section:
Found from Regan on Yahoo Answers. :)
I'll let you in. We have a closed community due to all the private information. Information like wedding locations, dates etc.
It's a fun board. We have games, and win prizes. We send out actual christmas cards etc.

Hello Sammey,
You may go to David Bridal's online store at
http://davidsbridalgifts.com/index.htm
By all means you can go to your local store for that information. I did a search from their site for a Canada store and nothing came up, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. They do ship to Canada, if that will help.
Happy Wedding,

I found three sites to try but not sure if you have already tried these but it's worth the shot. I am in Mississauga, ON. and I could not find any here or in Brampton.Try www.ebay.com, www.davidsbridal.com, www.angelfire.com and cancer.mcigs.com these are what I found in my search for you. Good luck. Mich. PS It would be a good idea to call one close to you and they should be able to direct you to one in any city, and fine one close enough for your friend to get too. I hope you fine them.
