The one with the diamond, is the engagement ring.
The wedding band, though, sometimes has diamonds in it, but they are embedded into the band.

With a bridal set, the ring with the diamond would be your engagement ring, the straight one without the diamonds is your wedding band and will be put on in the ceremony.

The one with the diamond is the engagement ring, the one without is the actual wedding band. You won't wear the one without the diamond until you get married. When you get married, you wear the engagement ring on the outside of the band. You wear the band "closest to your heart" while the engagement ring "protects the band".
