I have been with my fiance for three years and when he asked me last year at 20 if I would marry him I said yes because I thought I was completely ready. What would I be missing out on if I got married right now?

I am getting married on May 12, 2007, in Laguna Beach California. I asked the city how much it was to have a ceremony on the beach or in the park and they said $185. I have known others who just set up, get married and leave without paying the money. Should I risk it or is $185 not worth the risk.

My husband recently passed away and I'm wondering who does the bride dance with when they have the customary "dad & daughter" dance? I feel bad that she can't have that dance with him - my sisters husband is walking her down the isle but it doesn't seem appropriate for him to dance with her. Do we just not have that dad and daughter and groom and his mother dance for part of the traditional wedding?

my bf's parents and friends and family are in Southern California and that is where my bf and i reside also, but my parents and friends are mostly from Northern California. his friends have kids under the age of 2 and my friends dont have a lot of $$ to just spend on airfare/driving/hotel/outfits/etc.

AHH what options do we have! Ps. NO Beach weddings!

I'm in a wedding in a little more than a week and the bride said that she just wanted silver shoes, and that flipflops are alright. I just feel a little funny about wearing flipflops under a formal dress.... what do you think?

who leads off? when do the father and daughter dance? My family is saying the bride and the father of the bride lead out, and his family is saying the bride and groom lead out. When do the maid of honor and best man dance? HELP!! I dont know the proper order of things!!

My colors are brown and Pink.... I am making the bridemaids jewerly. The wedding is Nov 3. These are my ideas. Pick your favorite or suggest your own.
1. Silvertone with Clear AB crystals
2. Silvertone with Pink and Brown Crystals
3. Gold with pink and brown Crystals
4. Gold with Clear AB crystals
5. Gold with mix of Pink Crystals and Brownish tan Pearls.
I am making earrings, necklaces and bracletts...

Basically, this will decide the shoe color as well- gold or silver?? for pink and brown. I personally like silver better but I though gold was better for the fall. What do you think??

We were thinking about requesting money instead of gifts because we would have to ship everything,but didn't know if that would be rude. We also looked into requesting gift cards but those expire in a year and we wont relocate back to the states for
2 years. Are there any other alternatives? We would like a few gifts because they are personal but are there any other alternatives?

My partner got me a white gold engagement ring 18 months ago and it was a bit too small so I had it resized. Now when I look at the underside of the ring I can see a block of slightly discoloured metal where the ring has been resized. It's not too bad but I am getting married in a week and don't want to give it to a jewellers as I'm afraid I won't get it back in time for the big day, anyone got any suggestions as to how I can clean it?
