I am in a wedding in October.
I found nice formal shoes for the ceremony (we are wearin black dresses, so I found black shoes at Target for $16.99).
But, since I am going to be up a lot at the reception, I got pretty beaded black flip flops to wear around the dance floor. That way my feet aren't in total pain.
I would suggest the same for you. Get some nice formal shoes for the ceremony and photos, and then wear your flip flops for the reception when you will be either dancing or behind a table.
Sorry about the size restrictions too. But if you go to a BIG retailer, IE: payless, they tend to carry a lot, and for cheap. Just hunt around. Or maybe even try eBay.

I went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and all the bridesmaids wore flip flops. It was different, but since they all matched it worked out. They all had cocktail length dresses and it was in church as well. As long as the flip flops compliment the dress and the bride is okay with it wear them.

I was just in a wedding and the bride wore flip flops under her dress. If she's cool with it, it shouldn't be a problem. But, if you're going to feel self conscious then maybe you should pick something else so you don't worry during a fun day.

it would look a little weird. but if you really think the bride is ok with it then do it. in the end i doubt the bride will even notice your shoes. i know i don't remember what my attendants wore even though it was only 3 years ago. she'll be so focused on the big picture of the wedding that a little detail like your shoes probably won't even register with her anyway.

I would say go for it, but just remember to hold onto them tight when you go down the aisle so they don't make noise. By the end of the night, everyone has their shoes off anyway. Be comfortable. The wedding I was in last year, we had to spend $35 on the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. I literally just wore them down the aisle, and they gave me blisters. What a waste of money.

You can find silver shoes that are sandle-like with a small heel. Save the flip flops for the reception because dancing in heels is a bit annoying after a while.

I wouldn't do it, but I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of flip flops on a beach, let alone at a wedding. They are definitely too casual for formal wear. Get a nice low heeled silver sandal. They sell some at Payless for $12.99.

I wear a 13 shoe, ( I am a woman) I bought shoes at www.zappos.com they ship within 2 days and you can specify heel height so you don't have to be taller than your groomsmen. It may not matter to you personally, but it looks bad in pictures if you are way taller than your partner. Wear pretty heals down the isle and flip flops at the reception.

If it is an outdoor wedding, definately. If it is indoors, and the dress will mainly cover them it should be fine. Think pedicure. At my wedding, the girls ended up spending the entire reception barefoot (stockings of not). And if that doesn't help see what the other girls in the wedding are wearing.
Hope this helps.

well, you could buy a really cheap pair of tennis shoes and spray paint them silver, it's just for 1 day, and if you would feel funny, thats what i would do. personally, i think it to be a bit "redneckish" to wear flip flops in a wedding, even to a wedding for that matter.
