A girlfriend of mine got engaged shortly before I did this year. She is planning on having her wedding right before Thanksgiving. Everything is planned out pretty much except she couldnt find a DJ in the town where she lives who has the type music that she wants. her hubby to be left it up to her in regards to the planning. Her best friend suggested that my friend call her ex since he was a DJ to see could he do it. This is the thing- i told her that she shouldnt because Lord forbid her hubby find out, or the guy go crazy and ruin her music or even worse, lets people know they were intimate before. her hubby 2 b doesnt know this guy, but i think he would be hurt if the guy did the music. For what its worth- her ex is an awesome Dj and lots of people book him. he told her he would only charge her half price and has no interest in her whatsoever- i still think it is wrong. What do you think?

I am currently on holiday overseas and have just got engaged, only both our families know so far and we would like to announce this to our friends etc by email or something similar as it is too expensive to call every one back home. i have a new maggie sottero (unworn) and a pronovias (the one i wore) and a bridesmaid dress that i tried to sell on ebay but no luck. anyone interested in them ?.all dresses are size 14 and I have pics if anyone wants to see.

Planning a wedding is VERY difficult, and my family and friends are making things worse. My bridesmaids want to pick thier own dresses, groomsmen dont want to wear a tux, my mother wants her friend to cater and not allow me to help choose the menu, people are taking things over and I dont know what is being handled and not being handled. Any suggestions on how to slow the chaos and manage my stress better?

They're worthless. Thousands of them are mined on a daily basis - just horded by the major diamond companies and released slowly. Try selling them back - you'll get a 1/4 of it's original price.

My daughter got married this past Saturday. Since money was tight she did not order the all matching bridesmaids dresses. Each girl wore a black dress in whatever style they found appropriate for themselves. There were 3 in total. 2 long dresses and 1 regular length. It looked good not having everything matching.

My friend asked me to be in her wedding over a year ago. I said Yes, and now the wedding is 6 weeks away. Since last year, my 'friend' has been turning in to a real B***H. I dont even feel like she is my friend any more. Her attitude about everything having to be perfect is already starting to ruin our friendship. She also has kicked out one of the other bridemaids when this girl expressed to the bride that she was geting out of control.The brides is constantly telling us to buy this or buy that so that we will all match that day. we have already bought the dress, shoes, and shawls. we ALL ( 4 bridesmaids total) told her we didnt like the dress, and the bride said "too bad". At that point we just went along with what the bride wanted b/c it is her big day. However, things are geting way out of hand. I know some couples who have had them. I didn't feel it was necessary, actually I hadn't ever heard of one until this one couple got engaged. Is it a part of the 'norm' when it comes to the months prior to the wedding?
They had food, music and a cake like a reception, but they could afford it, but is it REALLY necessary?

Me and my boyfriend have been together 2years and 1 year engaged lately things have been boring with nothing happening!! Whilst things were going down hill me and my best male friend were getting on really really well. He would whisper normal everyday things really seductively in my ear it was so much fun when we were messing around (play fighting) at work and meeting up in the security cupboard! Then my friend annouced he was leaving work for a new job I felt so devastated like I was being dumped!! We went out to say goodbye and we kissed it was so passionate he made me feel absoultely amazing. BUT I LOVE my boyfriend and I felt so sick with guilt and decided to forget all about it but I couldn't! My boyfriend found out and dumped me my parents hate me and they really miss him and I still love him and miss him tremendously but my work friend makes me feel like nothing I have ever felt!! I gave up on love and commitment to feel sexy and wanted I have nothing. Help me, what should I do?
