So what's the question????? I've seen many wedding parties do just that, the bride will pick the color, and then the bridesmaids will buy the dress in that color that she likes/can afford best.

Gee, with you in dark blue it would look to me deep pink/plum colours will make the entire ingredient appear as if a funeral with all those dark colours. in my opinion, i think of you like some thing to lighten it up. (BTW, why are you getting evaluations out of your fiancee on the bridesmaid attire and not evaluations from the bridesmaids?) have you ever chosen the bridesmaids? think approximately their coloring/complexions besides. i'm seeing burnt orange, fern green, golden yellow, olive, terra cotta, copper even pink. on the different hand, those colours, at the same time as they tie right into a fall topic do no longer look to pass nicely with a gloomy blue/silver weddng gown. possibly silver/easy to mid-variety gray may be a sturdy selection for his or her attire. i do no longer know what type attire you're pondering yet once you went with the easy gray you have gotten some variety of trim to tournament the blue of your wedding ceremony gown.

i'm in a wedding in a few weeks where the bride did the same thing. she just told me to buy a black knee-length dress with black shoes. the other bridesmaids apparently got the same suggestion. it will be interesting to see what everyone picks out.

It's nice to see the trend moving away from "cookie cutter bridesmaids" and allowing the women involved to wear clothes and hairstyles that flatter each of them. I've seen similiar variations on the theme you've suggested and they all work quite well.

this is not a question, but a suggestion, as is stated in the headline. I like the idea too - I think it looks a little silly having bridesmaids all look exactly the same!

Usually the brides maids pay for their own dresses anyway. I picked out four different dresses that werent too spendy and let them decide together which one to go with. Then I let them decide on their own shoes instead of them having to be $60 dyed to match shoes.

I let my girls do that at my wedding as well, I thought it looked nice. I felt bad picking out one style of dress for everyone because they are all shaped differently. Worked out nicely, right?

So whose day was it yours or your daughter's? She made a decision and it seems to have worked out. The dresses may have not been the same, but they were the same color. I'm sure everyone looked good that day. Besides, it's over and you can't redo that day can you.

Cool...I've seen lots of weddings like that. It's much better than buying a dress the gal will only use once :-)

that is a great idea that i have suggested to many brides over the years. the best part is the girls will probably wear them again and not feel like they wasted money.
