Our colors are magenta and black. I just can't seem to come up with something pretty and cheap at the same time! :-( I want to stay around $10 - $15 per centerpiece. (We are having about 35 tables)

My fiance and i are cracking down on wedding planning. We are having a problem with the potential size of our wedding party. At first we wanted only a small wedding, neither of our families are helping us financially with the wedding b/c i already have a child. But he insists that we have all 5 of his brothers as bestman/groomsmen (which i understand, you can't just pick 1 or 2) so I have chosen my 4 closest friends and his 14yr old sister. B/c his sister is in the wedding, he feels obligated to ask my brother to be a groomsman (my brother could care less). Initially we had planned to cover the cost of all the dresses/tuxes, but if he insists on having my brother as part of it, (which in turn means i must add a person to the bride's side), we will have to cut corners somewhere else (food, decorations etc). We are on a tight budget. Is it tacky to ask each member of the wedding party to pay 1/2 the cost of their dress/tux? Our "small wedding" has turned into a"huge" ordeal.

My girlfriend cannot get out of work early enough to attend the wedding ceremony. It is 3 hours away. Is it ok to just go to the reception afterwards? The groom is a good friend from college who made special arrangements to invite us to the wedding last minute when he found my new address. Now this happens, what do I do?

I want to use taupe, almost a mocha color for my wedding in June, but I also want to know what other colors will match with it. Since it is summer, I want other colors too.

We are getting married that weekend and are going there for a mini-moon.

My aunt his having her 25th Wedding Anniversary in August. She is getting remarried. She wants to put in the invitations that she prefers money (for her honeymoon, ect.) instead of gifts because her and my uncle have been together for 25 years and they already have everything for the house that they could possible have. They also just remoldered their house, so they don't need a new blender, or stuff like that. What is a good way to ask for money instead of gifts without it being tacky, cheap or being offensive? I know some people won't like it but we want to put it in a "classy" way.

I broke up with my ex 3 months ago and I occasionaly still think about him. I have a new boyfriend, who is really awesome and wonderful, and he lives with me. We get a long great when we are getting along, but when we fight its awful. I feel like its the end of the world. he loves me more than i love him. i feel like I love him, but at the same time like i have no love left to give. I occasionally get caught up thinking about my ex, we were together 5 years... and get very depressed. I hurt my ex a lot and was not there for him when he needed me. how to move on? how to know if this new guy is right for me? how to get over my ex completely?

This weekend my boyfriend and I were in front of his best friend (vinny) and Vinny asked if we were planning on getting married anytime. Before I could answer Matthew snapped no. But the thing is we talk about getting married ALL the time. When i confronted him about it he said Vinny would tease him about it. I feel like if he wants to marry me he should be afraid to tell anyone. Am I wrong?

I love to craft but being that I am already creating my wedding centerpieces I do not have time to make my own wedding invitations as well. What are some companies that are relatively inexpensive and have catalogs or online for wedding invitations?

My fiances coworker is a groomsman in our wedding. He has stated that if there is no alchol served he will not come to the reception. My family is Southern Baptist. None of us drink and neither does my fiance. My fiance feels that his groomsman should not have to come to the reception. I feel he should since he is a member of the wedding party. I am having to include him, his wife and two children in the count for the amount of food to be served at the reception. How can I handle this without it becoming an issue? I feel its rude for him to have said that he'd participate in the wedding but just because there is no alchohol served he's not coming to the reception.

My husband and I are going to renew our wedding vows next year. But we are not sure about when we are suppose to do it. Does it have to be on the same day as the first time or can it be a different day? The day we got married, falls on a Wednesday next year. We don't really want it to be during the week. Alot of people won't be able to attend.

My boyfriend says he really wants to marry me but he's scared of not being good enough for me, he's worried it's not always going to be perfect - he knows he has to get that mindset out of his head as marriage isn't always going to be perfect but he's scared of taking that big leap. We're both Christians and he's not scared of committment, far from it. We've been talking about marriage from day one...what advice can I give him?? I want nothing more than to marry him..and I know he feels the same but it's getting me down...I got upset cos two of my cousins have recently got engaged and he said something like, 'so will you be, within the next ten months'...what can I say to help him make a final decision??!
