I bought a used wedding dress at a Brides Against Breast Cancer event... but it needs cleaned and pressed. How soon before my wedding should I have this done? My wedding is October 28, 2006.

First off do people still spend two months of pay on a diamond engagement ring and if so why?
second...If it is because of love, isn't the act of love, devotion, honesty and loyalty the way a male proves his love to the woman he wants to marry?
Or does money buy love?
Could part of the reason for divorces is due to $$$$ in part of having to spend that kind of money on a silly diamond ring?

i want a very special one, like prince albert style and shes a lil jealous anyway so that would def clue any other woman into the fact im married. she wont marry me til i agree to wear a conventional ring. and more so it has to be worn on my finger

My wife-to-be and her brother are tight, and he wants to attend the bachelor party. He thinks that we'll have innocent fun with the pair of strippers that I've invited. However, I'm buddies with one of the strippers and she wants to give me a 'special' present, if you catch my drift. I want her so bad, but I'm afraid that bro will rat me out to my future wife. What should I do? Do I hook up with the hottie stripper one last time somewhere else, or not hook up, or dump the bro but risk pissing off my future wife? I'm so confused, and there's only two weeks left until the wedding. What's a guy to do?

After my dad divorced my mom, we haven't talked much. I haven't met his wife (I wasn't invited to his wedding) and I don't want to. She has had 6 children from all different fathers and she is just after my dad for his money. He made it clear that if he comes he intends on bringing his wife, who I never want to meet. Besides hurting me, it would also hurt my mom. I just don't think it is appropriate. I wouldn't mind him coming alone but I don't want his wife to be there. It is too high a price to pay to have my dad at the wedding. I have lived just fine the last 5 years without a dad, my brother is giving me away at my wedding. But how do I tell my dad that I don't want him there if he is going to bring his wife?
