Ask him about it. Try to make him feel comfortable about giving you an honest answer. If he has no idea he's doing this he'll be pretty embarrassed. Its possible he actually wants to ask you but is afraid and when drunk what he's thinking about all day comes out. If its just something crazy he says but he's a good boyfriend otherwise let him know its ok. Maybe he won't get drunk so often in fear of saying it. Then maybe someday he'll be ready to ask for real when sober.

Unfortunately not.
It sounds like he has thought about it but has still to make up his mind. Only when he relaxes after a few drinks does he feel comfortable enough to ask you. In the cold light of morning fear takes over & it is easier to just say nothing.
Why don't you ask him when you are both sober?

he just says that cos he is full of beer and wants sex....yes he also believes that at that time he could marry you cos he is a man and horny BUT if the next day there is no mention of said same marriage proposal he didnt mean it luv so dont even give it another thought, now if you really want to marry him and you think he moght be serious just give him the heave hoo if he then gets back to you and pesters you he may?? be serious

My boyfriend used to promise me the moon, when drunk, soba was another story, I wished in the end I could keep him permanently drunk lol. So no darling, he doesn't unless he is the exception to the rule

I asked my first wife to marry me while I was drunk. That was the biggest mistake I've ever made! let the guy off the hook and ask him if he was serious when he's sober.

Why the **** are you dating a drunk? Hopefully he's not sincere, but if he is - tell him you'll never marry him till he becomes a real man and stops drinking.

Would you say yes if he did propose to you while sloshed? Set higher standards for yourself, girl! Tell him that if he really means it he has to do it up right.
The other question you want to ask yourself is: "do I want to marry an alchoholic?
