My ex-fiance has come back into my life after 3 weeks of being apart. We were supposed to move into our own place this past weekend. A lot of people are telling me that he had cold feet and thats all- but i want to make sure that what it is. When we first broke up- he pushed me away everytime i tried to talk to him- i cried for weeks. Now- the tables have turned. He wants me back. how long do i make him wait- how long is too long and how far should he go to get me back? He says the past month has been hell for him and he can't live without me- if so, why tell me it's over then? Help!

His name is Chris and he comes from a line of Military men. His 2 brothers and friends are all in the Army and his sister’s husband is also. He married my other friend Alissa, who also comes from a military family. Chris found out he was being shipped to Iraq, where he would serve as a nurse in Baghdad. One month into his 14 month tour, he found out Alissa was pregnant. Conceived the night before he left!

7 months (halfway) into his tour, the hospital he worked at in Baghdad got a new CT scanner. They needed a volunteer to scan so they could show the doctors how to use it. Chris volunteered. As they were reviewing the results, they found an enlarged artery in his brain. He showed no signs. That night he was rushed to Germany and back to the States the next day. He underwent 4 surgeries to block / remove the artery and they all went smoothly. A month and a half later, his wife had a healthy baby boy...born July 4th, 2006!

He has a gf but he is still trying to make me fall for him. At first, I thought he just wanted us to be friends, but now he has told me that he loved me...
I didn't want to accept this situation, even though I like him. But he brings me flowers, candies...
I don't know if I should accept them


Why is he doing this...? I've never encouraged him.
I feel kind of frustrated cuz I like him and I would be with him if he were single....

I've been dating this girl for awhile now, and we are genuinely in love...I was wondering what everybody else thought about this before I asked other people around me... How long should someone wait to pop the question? I'm thinking a year or two at best, but I have a friend who was married after knowing his fiance for 3 months, and now they have 2 kids...but not exactly the best marriage, either.

I am the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding, and as such, am throwing the shower.

Since I have never been in a wedding (and only gone to one in my life, and never even been to a shower) and the other bridesmaids are as inexperienced as I am, I need a couple questions answered.

1) I have the venue picked out. We are having a wine tasting party at a winery (there will only be one minor there) , but need some suggestions as to what to do to keep the guests entertained after/before the tasting. (The bride DOES NOT want cheesy bridal shower games, she told me.)

2) She told me she knows who she wants to invite. How should I word the invites, and should I send the registry information in the invite?

3) Does she open up presents at the shower or is that tacky?

4) I was going to give away wine glasses with the winery's logo on them as the favor, and a tag with something like "Jim and Jenny Oct. 21, 2006" on them . Would that be ok?

Any other suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
