Some people are old-fashioned and they think that it is better to be married correctly as the church says, than to be living with someone you really love and have a family.... What is what really matters?

My sister is getting married and we seem to get in a fight about everything. Her best friend is the maid of honor and she is a total idiot and I can't stand her. She isn't realistic and is giving my sister completely wrong advice. I have never gone through a wedding bfore, but I don at least have some common sense. The wedding is about 5 or less weeks away and we still don't have shoes or decorations. She hasn't even gone to the florist yet. The bridal shower is on a wednesday evening at 6:30...how pointless. The invitations didn't go out until less than 2 weeks before the actual date and people are supposed to RSVP by tomorrow...only 1 person has so far. My sister is still very young and is really thinking irrationally. I don't know what to do because every time I try to tell her something she get really mad and won't talk to me for 2+ weeks. I can't stand what this is doing to us, we used to be so close. What should I do?

Our families live about 1200 miles apart, and it's been really hard trying to figure out what's best for everyone. Neither side is very wealthy, so if the wedding is not within a reasonable driving distance, some people will not be able to attend. I always thought that the bride's hometown was the default location, but she doesn't want to negelect my family either. I said Vegas, but that was shot down rather quickly...

I want her to be at my wedding but she is extremely rude. She always farts out loud and talks like a sailor around my parents. She also almost got me fired for coming in with me to get my check. ( I didn't invite her in with me) I love her to death but she's just to rude. What should I do?

we have been together for two years and we are completly in love. Everyone around us keeps suggesting that we are going to get married. EVEN our parents have asked when the big date is going to be. I know hes the one I am just waiting for him to pop the question.

How do i find out if hes even thinking about it without bluntly asking him?
