If the wedding has a low-class-ghetto-trash theme to it, then sure. Otherwise, I'd be a little hesitant.

Okay if my fiancee told me yea let's play Smack My B**ch Up at our wedding he would get slapped. That is so disrespectful. This is supposed to be a day of joy. If he wanted to play that I probably wouldnt even marry him.

No. This makes me so glad my husband is family oriented and doesn't hang out with any guys. If you were coming to my wedding, I would uninvite you based on that. Weddings are sacred and beautiful - let their day be special and full of meaning. Don't ruin it. Oh, and GROW UP. You sound all of 12.

I'd check with your sister first. Guys have "incredible" taste in stuff like this. My hubby wanted our wedding song to be "Get Down On It." (yes, I realized I just really dated myself too...)

You would probably make many guests uncomfortable if you did play the song too. Rule of thumb would be don't play anything that would make your grandparents uncomfortable.

Absolutely not. This is a formal occasion. And should be treated as such. You dress up. You make nice to strangers. You act respectful, etc.

Basically, anything you would play at a frat party is not suitable for a reception.

my take on this is: This is their day,if they both agree on the song it should be played-that may be the music style they like. I have dj'd many many weddings and there have been many weird song requests. like i said before this is their day,we are supposed to be celebrating their wedding not celebrating mom or dad or aunt whoever. If i were the dj at this wedding i would defiantly ask before that song was played but if they agreed-crank it up!!

my boyfriend actually went to a wedding where they did this.

apparently the family (the parents especially) was very offended and embarrased by it.

you might want to ask family before doing so.

I really don't think that it would be proper. Ask your sister if she wants it played.
