Are ready to be a husband? Are you ready to committ for the rest of your life and love her as she is today until death do you part? Are you ready to help provide a life together? Its is very serious comittment and should be a time of great joy. I think you are already on a good start by thinking about other couples and being aware of problems that could arise if you rush into things. Every couple is different though.
My fiance and I were together for year and a half before he popped the question. We decided to get married 9 months after that just so we could plan the wedding. We are very much in love and if you know that she is the one you want to be with then go ahead and ask her. IF that is all you think about then you are ready. Good luck and congratulations! I wish you both all the happiness in the world.

It is really up to you both. Most people say you need to date about 1 year before getting married. Again it is up to you guys to dicide that. If you are in love then way should you wait? Just make sure it is what you want. Take it from me. I have been down that road and it was a bad 12 years, Well maybe the last 2 or 3 was bad. Hope everything works out

Between 1 - 2 years is great because you get to know the person and after being fo rthat perioid of time you already know for sure what o you want.
3 months is too soon, better do the things the right way.... you will not be rushing and it will be special if you propose on your 1st anniversary as a couple.... if you are going to spend the rest of your lives together...then a few more months and better planning will just add up to the special ocassion...
Congrats and good luck

I dated my husband for 2 weeks before he popped the question. We have now been married for 10 years and are very very happy. If you think you are truly in love then ask her that doesn't mean you have to get married right now you can be engaged for however long it takes you two to know its right. Follow your heart if you love her and want to be with her forever and you think she feels the same then ask what have you got to lose. Just be sure that's what she wants so you don't scare her away.

There is no "right time" to pop the question. If you know she is the one, and she feels the same for you, then there is nothing in this world that should stop you from getting engaged. And just because you are engaged doesn't mean you have to marry right away. If you want to take this next step with her, but you are afraid of moving too fast, then have a longer engagement. Being engaged doesn't mean getting married the next day, take this time to be at that next step of commitment. If all goes well, then proceed with wedding plans. I wish you happiness.

yes, I believe you should give it a reasonable amount of time before u pop the question my fiance and i waited for almost a yr before he asked me the question although i did beleive he was going to do so sooner, the longer u wait the better, even though i wouldnt suggest the 3 months thing cause then u still tryin to get to know the person... so i say wait about a yr or so....

Oh definitly wait at least 5 years so you can watch her find and marry someone else. If she's the one then SHE'S the ONE. Ask.
Now. Don't. Wait.
