I told him I trusted him, but I really don't trust him when he is drunk... He is now mad at me because he thinks I just don't trust him at all... what should I do? just let him go and be all cool with it, or make a big deal about it?

As per my previous posts, I am a dentist/practice owner and I went out with my colleagues a couple weeks ago for drinks. My wife asked me why I was out so late when I got home and I hit her across the face harder than intended and she fell onto the couch. Left only a small red mark for a few minutes and I felt terrible immediately afterward. She left for her sisters and came back last week but things have been very different.

I thought they were improving, but I went out yesterday again with my partners (it is a weekly outing..that I skipped last week bc of what happened the previous time) and her sister was there when I returned. When I asked why, she said she didn't want to take any chances.

When will things get back to normal? I am not truly abusive. It was a one time deal and I am sorry for it. I'm not some uneducated woman batterer.

It's new years eve- and once again- since we have kids we can't go out... so in stead of staying home alone with the girls we are going to my moms- but it will only be my mom and my sister and her 2 kids.. (our kids ages are 10 months, 2 yrs, 4yrs and 7yrs).. i have the 10 month old and the 7 year old. What can we do to make things fun? I'm kind of glum- i feel like because my oldest is old enough to stay up and knows about new years- i cant leave her for the night- even though our 10 month old will be asleep by 8:30-- so i'm feeling kind of 'left out' and down for some reason- because i feel like i really want to have some adult time - but can't? What are some things we can do to make tonight fun? for ALL of us?

If your husband went partying with his buddies all night long. It's not the first time he's done it. He has these occasional all night long parties where they get wasted into pieces. I hate when he does that and I've told him that before. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those jealous wives who doesn't let her husband see his friends, but I think he pushed my limit. He can go out with his buddies one in a while for a few hours and hang out, but I think it's wrong for him to go out for the whole night get drunk and sleep at someone else's house. I don't think he realizes that he's a married man and he has a wife at home. I don't go out partying all night long and I don't want to do that. What kind of relationship would this be if I went out partying by myself and he goes out partying without me. We're not roommates for god's sake. I'm really mad at him and I told him how I feel. What would you do?

I've stayed cordial but have really kept her at a distance. But she keeps calling me to do things. She asks about him first off when I talk to her and when we've made plans she'll ask if he's coming (I think, "Why would he? You and I made plans."). I'm trying to avoid making a huge thing out of this and I don't want to hurt her. I'd be friends with her except for this. Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

Why do you nit-pick?
I woke up this morning around 4:15am to get ready for work. I needed to warm up the truck before I left. I know my husband has asked me not to leave the truck running for more than 10 mins, so understanding this request, I timed it. But as the truck is running, my husband felt the need to wake up to ask me how long the truck was running and I replied not very long... well he instantly rebutted and stated that he was lying awake counting the minutes and it was longer than 10 mins. And of course while making my breakfast for work, I am watching the clock on the stove and replied, that I was timing it. (felt like saying wtf a-hole, why the hell do you have to ride my *** at 4am over this little piece of BS).

I am a 38 yr old divorced male, I met my girlfriend 7 months ago online, she is 27 and never married. We became freinds online and I learned that she was moving to my city. our feelings became very strong for each other and when she moved here it took a life of its on. We are madly in love with each other and for the both of us this is the best relationship we have ever had. I have never met a woman who I can be so comfortable with. We have been through some bad relationships and it is very refreshing for the both of us to have a relationship this great! The dilemma is she does not like it here and wants to try somewhere else when her lease is out. Also I have 2 kids which she feels uncomfortable with. She accepts that I have kids but is not sure if that is a road she wants to travel. We both love each other and want to be with each other! we have talked about ending it before it gets to a point where it will hurt to much when she leaves. The question, should I end it now or later?

My wife had a baby back in Sept of this year and we have been married since July. The problem is that I am absolutley at nerves end with this woman and her bit*ching about everything. Last night she surprised me during the night with a sexual favor. But then afterwards she starts bitching about various things.

It seems that I dont eat the right foods, I dont talk enough, I am more talkative with friends and family on the phone then her. I dont clean enough, I dont do this or that or I havent done this or that, etc.

I recently was diagnosed with high bp and I have no doubt the extra stress from her has contributed. My reading was 190/115. My hands tremble, I feel like I am going to explode because of anxiety.

I just dont understand why she cant understand that after a hard days work I would like to just relax some, play with my girl and just unwind. I dont care to talk about every little detail of my day.

My husband and I have been married for 5 years and we have a 2 year old. We're both 31 years old. Lately he has been so (for lack of a better word) boring. We have the same old routine, which usually involves him laying on his back and getting "taken care of" by myself and then directly after that, it leads to sex. There's no foreplay for myself ever.
I've asked him if he wants to do different things (watch movies together, get toys, etc) but he says nothing. Last night I didn't want to please him in that way to start off sex and he got turned off and fell asleep. This morning I find out that he was watching a porn in our bedroom while I was downstairs with our son. Everyone reading this knows what he was doing.
I'm just so frustrated with him. I hate how our sex life has become so predictible. I just wish he was more dominating towards me.
I stayed in shape after the baby however, he has gained some weight so maybe that might be a factor.
I don't know what to do..

My husband and I celebrated our 1st anniversary yesterday. Due to problems - it looks as though we might get custody of his newborn granddaughter when she is born in March. I am 46 yrs old, and a grandmother of 2 - I don't think I can raise another child! How do I handle this?

I'm wondering why so many women believe that if they don't get engaged by a certain time, their partner does not truly love them. Why is it that, if your partner says that he's not ready for marriage, you believe that he doesn't love you or is holding out for something better.

I have always thought of marriage as something to be done when both partners are wholly and entirely ready. Considering the current divorce rates, I find it admirable when a man can be honest about being scared, rather than rush into engagement to satisfy the woman's desire for commitment.

Am I the only one who thinks this way?

When my husband and I were splitting up earlier this year, I began seeing someone else. I broke it off with the guy I was seeing and confessed to my husband. I changed my phone number recently because the ex affair was texting me. The man is writing us emails and bothering us now. His last email stated "Hope you guys had a good holiday because 2008 is gonna be one hell of a year for lots and lots of people". I am starting to get worried. I am not sure if he is trying to hurt me and destroy my family since I am trying to work on my marriage. I was considering a protection order. Do you think I have grounds to get one right now? ...since all we have been getting is a few disturbing emails? We did go to the same college together... he showed up last quarter to talk and I did not know about it. Until he told me he was waiting for me outside... and I just had left for school. I hope this all makes sense. My hubby and I are getting frustrated with the ex affair. Advice please! Thanks!

I believe in love but I see so many separations and divorces that it really gets to me. Is this because the nature (like interests) of a man and a woman are so different that it is difficult to stick to each other for life? Would like to hear opinions from anyone on this. I've heard so many women come to me and say 'you're lucky, you stayed single..I married the wrong man!'. Or, a guy recently said to me 'you are so lucky with your freedom. My wife and I have so little in common except for the children, so when her parents die, she will be very lonely'. On the other hand, I have some friends saying they are happy in their marriages. It is just that about half of those who are married seem to be 'unsettled' and envying the single life.
