This is a man's typical answer when he wants to say something non-commital. He was uncomfortable with what you said and he was saying that he could feel what you were feeling about him but he didn't say what he was feeling for you. It's like the man who, if you say "I love you" will say, "me, too." If I were you I'd stop falling so hard!! Slow down and wait and see what he does with that!
