Like I said me and my husband have been seperated for a long time because of addictions, he is clean of drugs but still has to start drinking the minute he gets up.He wants us back together but I'm scared that if he is still drinking the way he is that he'll go back to the drugs. He wants my help to stop drinking but I know that I can not help him,I've tried so many times.I love him and would never want anything bad to happen to him.I guess my question is,am I wrong for not wanting to jump back into it or should I let him back into my life and keep trying to help him. I am very confused.

Im a divorced dad who has my son 50% of the time.He has a closet full of toys(never playes with)new bike(never riden)movies(never watched). He can play his gameboy for hrs but has a hard time watching a movie(kids) from start to finish.Except for these 3 things he has a hard time entertaining himself. When board he climbes, jumps ect all over me to get my attention.I do take him out(parks, walks ect) and spend a great deal of time playing with him(as does him mom) but can't play 100% of the time.Hes like this with his mom too but seems more "needy" with me.

I am a Christian, and I would like to find a nice Christian girl to settle down with.

I asked a question about an appropriate way to find out if a girl saves herself for marriage.

I recieved several answers that say i am judgemental. I do not feel this is accurate. I can be friends with everybody, but I see potential marriage candidates would have to have the same values as mine ( i am waiting for marriage).

People say God doesn't judge, so I have no reason to. Wouldn't i be more dishonest pretending it didn't affect my feelings? I don't want to hurt anybody. But i mean, we marry people we are totally at peace with, right?

To me the subject is a big red flag. I don't think i am being judgemental, so much as it being a fact that i know this person doesn't share my values.

What do you think?

So I girl I knew from college a while back found me on Facebook.. we only met once during college.. well she messages me all week about wanting to hang out this past weekend. She then says she can't she has stuff to do. Well she messages me again with her phone number and tells me to "call her any time" and she would love for me to call... She gave me her # on friday, I was out of town all weekend so I could not call sooner.. I did ask her if it was alright I'd call, she said yes and she would like that

Well I call her tonight, no answer, so I leave a voice mail. I go online and she is online on Facebook..

What the heck is up with that??? What do I do now?

I made a big huge mistake in marrying the wrong woman in my first marriage. I heard that the 2nd marriage, is the best marriage, if everything else fails, in the first marriage. Is this true??? I am 40.

Well, we were together for about eight months, I loved her a lot! She said she loved me as well, came over everyday even if it was for a short period of time. Long story short she said she was going to do something and did something else. She went to a party with a guy, and I caught her. She would not even look at me and just told me to leave, but earlier that day she said she loved me and all that stuff. She broke it off right than and it devistated me. The guy she was with was getting tuff with me so we ended up fighting, and I got an assult ticket. I know the fighting was wrong and I should not have done that. Well It has been two weeks now, and I have not heard from her at all. I really want to talk to her, I have never been so betrayed in my life, but I know I can forgive her. This is not saying I want to get back together with her, but I feel I deseve and explaination. I also found out later that she has been dating around with several guys, w

I'm a non resident Indian (NRI) and am splitting with my wife. We've been married since 2004. I'm the sole earner in the family and she has no contribution whatsoever. With my own earnings I've bought a flat in India and have some other assets. My question is that if we file a divorce then will I have to give anything from my individual assets?

I'm not saying I'm going to, I'm just curious. Is there a law in New York that says you can't? I know you must have parental consent to get married before age 18 but what about engagement? And if the person 16 years of age is engaged, are the parents allowed to break them up?

Once again, I am just curious.

Thank you for your time.

my mom is married to my step-dad but is really questioning whether she wants to be anymore... Hes always either yelling about chores not being done right, us back talking or arguing to him or berating us and calling us stupid if we make a mistake or forget to do something.
Hes not abusive to us yet, but pretty close. we had to unload a box , and we were in the kitchen, and he yelled at us to turn the light off cuz he had a headache. He got up took a bat and slammed the lights out. He was do it to the chandilere too, but he didnt cuz my mom called the cops. me and my sister went to our grndpa's that night.
when he found bleach on his shirt he blamed it on my sister, when actually he had set it down on the dryer wich had bleach spilt on it
4 "revenge" went into her room and broke her camera
he accuses my mom of cheating all the time
im 16, so what can i do? should mom divorce him?
hes been so mean! i stay up in my room alot cuz i dotn want to get yelled at, but i cant 4ever.

I am getting married in less than 2 months (and can't wait). My fiance is typically very NON tradiitional. I am considering hyphenating my last name and he is having a very difficult time with it. He says he feels like I won't "completely" be his wife if I dont take only his name. It's not like I'm not going to take it at all, I am just considering adding it to my own. I feel that it's not wrong, but he is making such a fuss and making me feel so bad about it that I'm not sure. Any opinions???

I have friends that were married young and now it seems like they have just accepted their faith... I don´t see them happy or in love nor demonstrate any enthusiasm about going home at the end of the day. Isn´t it a big waste of LIFE? I am saying this because I´m Brazilian and here things are sort of different... People get married when they´re older (around 30) but they seem a lot happier, they don´t just settle down... I know I can´t generalize, I´m sure there´s lots of happy people out there...

My husband and I have ben married for 5 years. We both love each other very much. However, sometimes I feel lonely. Not in my life necessarily, more so in the marriage. He goes through these temporary phases. If you follow Dr. John Gray (author of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus), he calls it the "Rubberband Man" or the "Male Intimacy Cycle". It is usually a brief period where our partner may pull away for a short time, then come back. It is never out of anger or frustration in the marriage - it is more for him to be able to "regroup" which allows him to be a better provider and partner. It's a time for him to focus on his needs. I have these times sometimes, too. I call it "me time". Usually, I go for a pedicure or massage, or have lunch with the girls. It may last a day or two. However, his last maybe a week or two. And they seem to be more frequent. Maybe every 4-6 weeks? Everything besides this is going great. He is attentive, caring, compassionate....

over the past year i've noticed that my husband and i have become disconnected. we moved to a new state where i don't know anyone. he is good at making friends, so has several new buddies. i sent my daughter to my parents for 2 weeks in an effort to get reconnected with him. quite often he has places to go and people to see while i am stuck at home being the parent.
anyhow, over the past 2 child free weeks we have hung out with his friends and done what he wants to do. the 2 things i really wanted to do, we have not done.
this weekend is our last weekend to be alone and we had plans for dinner and a movie last night. he decided he wanted to go fishing in the morning so didn't want to go out last night b/c he would be up to late to make the early fishing call. he promised we would go out tonight but now says he is too tired.
my question is, do i have a right to be pissed off about this? how would you feel?

My daughter's dad and his ex-wife broke up a year ago. She has had some issues with drugs and has lost custody of their son. She wants me to fight for her to see my daughter now that she has cleaned up but he is insistent she doesn't see her and not sure how much of that is vengence or real concern about his daughter being around her. By the way she was her stepmom since her birth. I am pulled in two directions any advice?

Okay. Life story.
My parents got divorcied when I was about 9, and i'm 13 now. My parents live two blocks away, not even. I have a brother who just turned 9. I'm going into 8th grade, hes going into 4th. My dad is getting married in a month, and moving to a really nice neighborhood in a town called plainfield about 10 minutes away. I live with my mom currently, and I go to my dads with my little brother every other weekend, and wednesdays. My mom has a boyfriend who she plans on marrying somewhere inbetween 1-5 years. Shes moving to a town that I don't like as much, about 45 minutes away from here. I want to live with my dad and his new wife, and her son, alex, who is 14, in a year, when 8th grade is over. My dad said I could, but my mom and her boyfriend are making me feel bad saying that i need to stay with my mom because she took a big cut in pay, to become a teacher and go back to college to be home with me and my brother, and I should atleast stay with her for my childhood.
