I watch shows like "Everybody Love Raymond", "The Simpsons", "King of Queens" and I wonder if women think these guys are real? I hate the fact that men are portrayed as stupid helpless neanderthals that can't do anything without a woman. The women are insane premenstrual b1tch3s half the time, and use sex as a weapon. Is this really what realationships are like for most people. Do women really think that men are less intelligent than they are? And, if so why? Do women act like that in real life?

Fisrt thing I want to say is that I love my wife. It is just I don't think she loves me back. It all started when she wanted to go to texas to see an old friend and I did not want her to go. She told me that they had been friends forever and I knew they had been. She ommitted the fact that they were in a relationship previously and when she came back she wanted the divorce. All she would do was talk about him and her time there and then made the desicion to move with him. Then all of a sudden she wants to fix the marriage. It hasn't been the same since. She has been very wishy washy lately being lovey one day and distant the next. I do love her and although our marriage hasnt been the best I kinda want to fix it. We are going trying to go get counciling now. The main reason I have been dwelling on this is the fact that I need to know now what to do, our lease is almost up and its either stay here and maybe it will get better or go back home. I am very confused.

My husband treats me differently - depending on if I working or not... When I'm working he has sex with me often but when I am not...I have to continually ask for sex and even then, it's not that good. Why does my husband treat me with more respect and honor when I’m working verses when I’m not?

I have been married for 7 years and have worked full-time and went to college full-time for most of our marriage. The first 4 years I worked 50 hours a week & went to school full-time. He respected me and said I was ambitious. He doesn't say that anymore.

Also, I am looking for a job that I can be content with, but I have been unable to find one. I get offers for jobs in offices and I am straying away from that b/c I feel depressed and like I'm chained to the desk when I wk office jobs. My bachelors is in management (got it in dec 2006). I need to make some changes; per I'm not happy when I'm treated badly by him.

He says, me nt working right now isn't a problem. What should I do?

Spent time w/ a guy that told me I am his high school dream girl. Hung out every weekend for like 3 weeks as friends. Sent emails, text messages etc everyday and then we were supposed to hang out, but because of the divorce I felt it was in my best interest to go home to my husband. My friend emailed him to let him know that I am going through some stuff and to give me space. Since that moment everything changed. How can you go from one extreme to the next in a matter of a day? Is he not interested? Is he too interested he doesn't want to get involved? Do morals play a role? WTF

when my fiance and i disagree or argue, i usualy clean the house really really extra really good as a gesture to forget about the whole thing. it probably seems dumb, but is this reinforcing his/our bad behavior?
im just wondering if this is starting to turn into not such a positive idea....

When my husband and I bought the car that I drive, we had to put it in his name only because of credit issues. Now, every time we get in an arguement and I try to leave for a while to cool off, he says I can't take the car because it's in his name. He does the same thing with my cell phone (he opened the account so the bill comes in his name). I know this is a just a desparate attempt to try and control me, but what rights does he really have in this case?

I see so many questions on who pays for what.
"Well if he pays for child support he shouldn't pay for college."
"If he pays child support why should he help with braces?"

Does anyone know how much it even costs to raise a kid?

According to some sites I've looked at it will cost around $300,000 to raise a child, which includes 4 years of public college, up to the age of 22.

Now, if a non-custodial parent pays child support at an average of $400 a month, they're paying $105,600 for 22 years. That's not even half of the overall cost of raising the child!

The custodial parent is responsible for bringing the child to birthday parties, school events, sporting activities & so on. The other parent just has to show up.

The custodial parent has to help with homework, make sure the child stays healty, stay home from work when the child is ill, go to doctor appts. etc.

Unexpected expenses arise, one would think if it was ABOUT THE CHILD the other parent would readily help.

In the insect world the female is usually much larger then the male. For instance the Queen bee, or a praying Mantis are quite a bit bigger then there counter parts. How do you think the world would be different if the same was for us humans? Lets just say an adult woman was five times the size of a grown male. Do you think the world would be better or worse?

My husband and I went to a party for one of his coworkers. It was outside and we were there about an hour when my husband got up from the table and asked if any one wanted to play bags. I was up from my chair and said I would like to but he said this other coworker was going to play and she was still sitting down in her chair. So she went and played with them. 2 hours later my husband comes back to the table. He left me there for two hours with people I don't know all talking about work and I was left out of most of the conversation. I am just wondering after three games of bags not once did he come ask me if I wanted to play! If I was OK! If I needed anything! I am just mad cause this is coming from a guy who just asked me to give him a month to prove to me he respects me and doesn't want me to leave him. Would you be mad?

Me and my fiance had our first real fight. I mean yelling screaming and the whole thing. It wasen't one of those that you are over in five mintues. Well when i grabbed the phone to call my dad to come get me ( matt had picked me up) he knocked the phone out of my hands and when I grabbed it back he smacked me across the face. he busted my nose and blacked my eye. That was the first time he has ever even raised his voice to me. He has apologized and he is already in anger management. Should I forgive him?

In the past I've been diagnosed with OCD, depression, and anxiety. Lately its been getting worse. Having my type of OCD is terrible. I cry all the time and i don't know why, i imagine horrible events and obsess about them all day, and i have no control over it. Every day i wake up with the thought that my husband might not come home from work; that he might die or something. These uncontrollable thoughts scare me to death and i've had them for years. I told my husband i think i needed help andhe's not being very sympathetic. I don't know what to do. He said "Everybody is a little OCD You just want to believe you're OCD." and then "What do you want me to say? I'm sorry?" I just wish he'd be a little more understanding. he is being mean and i dont' konw what to do I need his support more than ever and he's not giving it to me What do i tell him?

Can you pls share your stories with me of a boyfriend/fiance/husband who was immature and selfish and refused to change and then you broke up and he a few days later or so after thinking asked you back and actually changed his behaviours??? Does my man just need space to realize I'm the best thing in his life and we love eachother more than anything (in our case, his pot smoking). Pls share or give me some advice. Thanks.

My husband abandoned me about 5 weeks ago we also have 4 children and I am pregnant with our 5th child. He comes to my house and apologizes and says that he was being a coward and he is so sorry. I do not trust him anymore because this is the 5th time that he has abandoned me and I am not going to fall for his fake apology. I think that he is just being nice because he knows that we have a court date coming up on July 24th and he is trying to get me to change my mind. I am going to court no matter what because I need to have that security for me and my children.
It is so hard to forgive someone who keeps doing the same thing consistently. I am not going to fall for his crap and that is final. Do you think that I am overracting? If yes, why? I do not think that I am overracting because when someone keeps doing the same thing over and over they are being disrespectful.
I do want him to be here for his children because it is going to be hard for me to do it alone.

It seems that I'm always entertaining her friends, they're not my friends, I dont get to see my friends often...I work so much; and there's nothing in the house that indicates that I live here, I wear my hair the way my partner likes it, only to find myself to defend myself if I want to change my hair; and it seems that I'm suffocating more and more into my partner.
