i asked myself the same question. in most cases it is just because that is how they are comfortable. not because they don't want to snuggle with you. so don't worry. but if they spend less and less time snuggling with you or physical contact with you is dwindling away then you should talk to them about it. and a lot of times that is caused by stress. my guy sleeps with his back to me a lot but i have just learned to wrap my arms around him instead.

No. But the question is do you hold each other/spoon before deciding to sleep?
I like to spoon and nuzzle for a bit, then say good night and turn my back. I don't like waking up with a sore arm because it was under someone's head and trying to sleep while spooning, leaves me in a very aroused state, which makes sleep unlikely and uncomfortable.
Also, guys like to be held too, so you can always try to spoon against him. I've found that more often than not, I end up being the more nurturing one and find my needs for being nurtured are not met to my satisfaction. Doesn't have to be 50-50 and as the "man" I am fine with 90-10, but c'mon we need to be pampered too.
Don't read much into it if you get along fine right before sleep. But if there is no affection at all, then there may be an issue.

In my case it means that I am more comfortable. The two things that bug me the very most is anything in my face or around my neck. Therefore I never wear a neck tie or even button the upper most button on my shirts and I will never sleep with anything in my face. Such as a blanket, sheet, pillow or yes even my wife. The one that has gotten me in more trouble than anything else is when I would be at a club and as we all know, a drunk thinks that you can't hear him (or her) unless they are in your face talking to you. This is a practice that has bad ending written all over it in my opinion. But back to your question. Don't take this as an insult to you when he (or she) turns a back to sleep. It's just more comfortable to some period.

Honey, the only thing it means is that they sleep with their back to U, there is nothing more...
it might annoy some people, but maybe you can try and switch sides of the bed to see if they sleep the other way....if not and it still bothers U, maybe they aren't the right one for U...
Think about it

Some people believe that sleeping positions mean something. My boyfriend does the exact same thing. Look up "sleeping positions meanings" on the internet. There's meanings for sleeping on your side, back, stomach or curled up in the fetal position. It's interesting.

Girl. This doesn't mean a thing. It's just a comfy spot. My husband and I sleep with our backs to each other all the time. I have to sleep on my right side. I can't breathe on my right. My husband gets claustrophobic so he can't breathe facing me. If your still concerned ask him. the most important thing in a relationship is communication.

It could mean something or it could mean nothing.
If you feel that there is something wrong outside of the bedroom, and they did not used to do this, then him/her sleeping with their back towards you is body communication telling you there is distance between the two of you.
However, if they have always done that because it is just how they sleep (I do this all the time), then it doesn't mean anything.

well i guess it all depends. did this behavior just start or has it been this way for your entire relationship? how long has it been bothering you and why haven't you just asked him/her? i am not sure if it means anything or not. my fiance sleeps with his back towards me, but then again, so do i. it's also after we have had our intimate moment and are just ready to go to sleep. i don't read much into it and i assume he doesn't either. i don't mean anything by it. i just like to lay on my right side which just happens to make my back face him.

Ain't nothing wrong with that. Maybe he doesn't want to breathe directly into your face but likes to sleep on his side, maybe he likes it when you hold him from behind...

It's probably just the most comfortable way for him to sleep. Don't worry too much; I think you're just reading too much into this. :D

Probably not. Cause its just the position he sleeps in. Like her probably has to sleep on a certain side of his body. Like I have to sleep on my left side. And thats just me.

Good Luck
