Just something you will have to live with if you look back to early 1920's when movies first started women were the ones being portrayed as dumb!so really all that has happened is the roles have been reversed not saying it right but it is what it is.People should not sterotype no not all men are that dumb their are stupid people of both sexes and from even different races ect.Not every woman is a b i t ch half the time or pre mentstrual. Most people do not act anything like this in real life its just entertainment.

You use the word women... meaning all of women I assume. Well I dont think the shows on TV are real at all. No, not all "women" think that men are less intelligent than they are. Some are equal, some are more intelligent and some are less, it all depends on the subject. No, "all women" do not act like that in real life. And no relationships are not like that for "most" people. And if "women" are insane premenstral ******* 1/2 the time, then maybe you should opt for a man. Good luck.

Real relationships like that? Maybe some. Good relationships like that? No way!
Its not the way my husband and I relate. We recognize that we are two intelligent people with different fields of expertise. He's a computer wizz and a great provider. I'm good with the practical details. We compliment each other. That's not to say we always agree, but we usually work our way through our problems without resorting to those activities that the television families do.

Wow, that is a lot of stereotypes you're throwing around. Not all women think men are stupid. Not all women are insane premenstrual bitches, and not all women use sex as a weapon. Some men are dumb though, and some make statements that make them seem dumb.

ALL the people in sitcoms are generally stupid. I have often wondered why. One argument I heard was that when people watch tv, they want to feel superior to the people on tv, or they want somebody to laugh at.
I think it is just lazy bad writers.
Now what do sitcoms have to do with real life?
Nothing, so stop watching them so much.

My husband is intelligent on a wide range of subjects. It's part of what drew me to him originally. I will say, there are certain day to day things that he seems to be completely clueless about though! It's what makes him human, and lovable! Lumping all men, or all women into a category is impossible - we are all unique in so many ways!

It's the same as guys saying that all blonde's are dumber than frog balls and are only good for a romp. It's a stereotype. And the only way around it is to prove them wrong. Something that I have no problem in accomplishing.

They don't call it "programming" for nothing....
Are relationships really like this? No. Are men as stupid as the guys you mentioned, not at all. Are women always cranky pms'in b1tches?? Nope. Turn off your TV and just be who you are.

One angle is that women tend to talk more than men, regardless of substance. In fact, little girls are more articulate than boys of the same age. In that sense, girls "talk" themselves into the belief they are smarter and boys are just stupid.
