No, certainly no worse than marrying anyone else. We Marines are very dedicated people, but the nature of the job carries with it certain realities that you both need to consider before walking down the aisle. But the Marine Corps is a large family with lots of support factored into the equations that isn't necessarily true for folks in other branches of the service, or in the civilian sector. Ask probing questions and talk to active duty Marines and their spouses to get an accurate picture of what their lives are like. Good luck, and Semper Fidelis.

Basically, if you marry someone in any military service, you have to be open minded, and willing to deal with the issues, of them being away, working late, and also dealing with other military personnel. If I were you, I would try to learn as much about the Marines as possible, talk to other women married into the service, this will help you decide, if this is what you want. But if you truly love this man, love has no limits.

If that the case don't get involve with any one in the Armed Forces. Its depend on the individuals if they're bad or not. The Armed Forces only train them to be tough and knowing when and not react to any situations. If a service men or woman went to war and return home. If their spouse do something to tick them or get under their skin. You can bet this will set them off like any other person, just because they're servicing in the military you can't put that blame on Armed Forces.

there is no difference whether he is in the Army or AirForce... He is a man... If you love him enough and know him well, you decide for yourself.

Just keep in mind that him being in the Service means that he will have time away from you and the family.

Military life is not easy for many spouses.

As a Military spouse, you will grow better or suffer. It's all about your attitude and will.

Love is love... make sure you know him (or any man) well before getting married.

Make the best of your life. If you love him and know him well, then go for it. enjoy life!!!

well i can give u an opinion i got while i went to school near a base, those military guys cheat on their wives while they are out and they drink and have really bad tempers, but not everyone is like that, and their are always excpetions, so i guess it depends on the individual

Not bad, no... more like complicated. You would have many obstacles. But, hey, if you both are in Love, Love overcomes all, right? Good Luck and hope you follow your heart!

I hate to say this but yes. Wait until he gets out. If he is not then don't do it. When I got back it was hell on both of us. Don't put yourself in that position.
