Here's the scenario: Your marriage is stable and you're both committed to each other. However, your spouse wants to have a same-sex intimate relationship with one other person. You know the other person is also in a stable marriage and his or her spouse has no objections to this. Realize that if you do not consent, this may happen (and might already have happened) without your knowledge. Also, once you know about this possibility, do you want to know in advance, each time? You feel your spouse is being and has been honest with you, even though this is a potentially difficult situation. Assume you've been married at least ten years and have children.

I have noticed A LOT (almost everyone) suggests getting a divorce at the drop of a hat. Why is that? Does anyone believe in making it work anymore? Don't people believe in the vows they took? Please tell me your view on this!!

or should I kick her to the curb and move on?

OK, the actual question is, in Marriage & Divorce, which of the following cliches is the most over-used stock response when people answer questions in this category, and why? (If you don't answer the "why" part, you can be certain you won't be picked Best Answer.)

The grass isn't greener on the other side.
Get counseling.
Kick him/her to the curb.
Move on.
Why buy the cow when the milk is free?
Once a cheater, always a cheater.

If none of the above, what do you think people say when answering that's over-used?

0 If you are married over 3 years . . . . ?
how many times you have used it or heard the term " not tonight; I have a headache ", during the last one year ?

Neither husband nor I have used a headache as an excuse. We have turned each other down, occasioanlly, but usually we are both willing to do something else to bring each other pleasure. Even if my husband masterbates Im willing to lick his balls or roll around the bed naked and wave my P*ssy in his face. We have yet to fall in that trap, we have a great marriage. (Married amazing 7 years)

my husband never communicates with me about anything except for about work, and our child, and never anything else. he does not confide in me about his hopes, dreams, anything dealing with his family, my feelings about anything, etc. We've pretty much slept in seperate bedrooms for years. I feel like the only way he wants to communicate is with sex. He's never really been a communicator. is this normal?

So I just filed my divorce papers... problem is I can't stop thinking about him. I don't love him anymore. and I know what I'm doing is right, but everything reminds me of him. And sometimes I miss him.
I know that it's going to take time. But people who have been divorced, how did you help yourself move on?

Met future mil, was courteous as were they. Said thank you after the meal & left..not good enough for her, she wanted a thank you note. She wants a ty note for everything, from X-mas presents, to simply visiting. She also has another son that she obviously favors. Why? B/c he & his wife kiss her *** to get stuff. I'm not going to do that. I don't do it w/ my own family. Don't think you should have to do that to get someone to like you. Anyway, the dad sides w/ the mom regardless. Before & after hubby & I were engaged, the mil kept telling him not to marry me. After she met my family for the first time, she called her son to complain about them & again reiterated not to marry me, & get this..it was as she was driving down my sister's driveway after having met them. The night before the wedding, she had her other son call my husband & tell him he was rude at the rehearsal dinner (he was not) & again, not to marry me. She didn't speak to my hubby the day of the wedding. cont.

i'm wondering what your opinion is regarding someone with abusive tendencies 'changing their ways'. everything i have read indicates that intensive therapeutic intervention can help the person who is abusive, and my estranged husband is in counseling, but is at the same time still in that same loop of blame, nonaccountability, and denial. i recently moved almost 2000 miles away from him, but we left everything 'open ended' as far as filing for divorce vs. reconciliation. we decided to give it TIME. which is all right and good, but i'm beginning to think that there is no change in sight for him, and to reconcile would mean me going back there, right back to the same lifestyle and BS. he sees no problem with anything he says-does, so am i just hoping against hope that a change is going to happen??

My ex does not pay child support. He lied about where he was working so they cannot find him. He owes me so much money for dr bills (our kid has siezures). I stopped taking him over to his house for his wkly visit because he was not helping out. He already has supervised visitation for past problems. Does anyone know how I can get him to sign over his rights? Or does anyone know how long one can go w/o paying c/s before they will have to go to jail?

Is there anyone on this planet who actually believes that their partner's ex is anything other than mad/insane/drunk/child abuser? It just stuns me how many people complain about their partner's ex - especially if there is child support to be paid.

while we were seperated for 6 mths, in 2005 my hb had sex 3 times with this thing. She rang me 18 mths l8r to let me kno((so kind of it!). He said it was just revenge sex in the 1st 4 weeks of leaving as he was so hurt (i was a real *****, but no-one else involved). She however said it was a 4 yr loving affair. I kno she's lying as he did a lie detector test & passed. She keeps calling or texting me with more of her "revelations". Why on earth after 4 mths wld she keep calling me?

My husband had two kids with his ex girlfriend (boy and girl) and now we have a son who is 15 months. I originally wanted 3 children but i know thats out of the question because he has 3 right now! However we have decided that we will have one more. It will be at least another year before we can have another child but I am afraid he will change his mind before then because he already has 3. Being that he already has 2 boys and a girl it makes me anxious that he will not want more when the time comes. I would be very upset if this happened, what should I do?

How do you decide whether to be a mistress. The man I have been with for six years married the mother of his child on Saturday. He wants me to be around still and promises all sorts of things. How do I decide whether to stay or walk away from the situation knowing that I will never be his wife and that he has a family? As a mistress I get all the perks, no cleaning up after him, all the fun and fantastic sex. The downside is we can't hang out with his friends like we used to since they know he is now married. I am not really religious although I was brought up in a catholic home and can't help thinking I will be judged at the pearly gates. The new wife knows about me and my relationship with him but thinks it is long over. If she only knew he called me twice this week while he was away at his wedding and was here the night before he left on his trip. I owe nothing to her and feel no guilt towards her. She just happen to be lucky enough to get pregnant.

Once my boyfriend and I get married, we will live in my mom’s house, and we will pay some sort of a rent, but we will pay for our own bills and food. But I’m having second thoughts, my mom could be overbearing, and we might not have peace of mind. If that’s the case we will just rent, outside our home, because if we stay at my mother’s house, it will also be like renting, and we night live in a fishbowl existence.

I got married to an idiot in August of 2005. By January of 2006, I had already filed for divorce. I met my curen boyfirend last OCtober and he has moved in. We now have a small farm that we work together and he is wonderful is so many ways (I won't go on and on). I get the feeling that he really wants to get married (he has hinted at it) and I love him and want to spend the reast of my life with him as well. What I'm worried about is if we actually decide to get married, how will people ( on my side feel) they just came to one of my wedings not that long ago. If you think it's okay to go ahead and marry him, how can I let him know it's okay with me without sounding pushy?
