I have been married almost 8yrs and ever so happy. I was just wondering if other's out there believe it is awesome to have found someone to love and live with for life if possible. I ask this just to cheer some of us who keep trying to help others that seem to be going through crap and well we can just say heres something that we can be positive on.

I know arranged marriages are the rule in this religion, my thing is why are Sikh men dating American women if they cant marry them?A Sikh guy that I met about 8 months ago at a store he works in across the street from my apartment wants to date me very bad!He is extremely attractive & his family has a lot of money. He lets me drive his car & gives me money and told me I can have whatever I want. His uncle noticed that he has become quite fond of me& told him that if he didnt stop talking with me so much that he would call his parents in India! This guy is 24 years old!He said he doesnt care about what his uncle thinks. I like him a lot too because he is a total sweetheart & he spoils me rotten. I am also Black & I know a lot of people are prejudice against Black Americans.I know in the long run he will probably have to go by what his family wants unless he is willing to put up a fight, but I dont know if I want to go through all the rejection. By me being Black, I'm tired of that...

We want to get married but not have it legal - pretend. Due to social securitiy reasons (reduction in benefits if we are marreid) we want to go through all the ceremony with marriage certificate and everything and although not legal-we want to say vows to each other to commit. I will also be changing my name to his last name.

Friend's newly wed husband who is overseas is cheating on her. He is into nude webcam chatting etc. He doesnot admit he is married so that he can have fun. She removed her wedding ring. Is it ok to do so? When does one remove the ring? with no ring, is she deceiving men that she is not married?
A guy at her place of worship gives her stares. (they have not talked yet) Is she at fault at misleading him?
Please advise on both questions.

My wife recently went to visit family and while there decided she wanted to seperate. She left all of her belongings here, and my mother in law thinks I should have to pay to send my wife her things. I don't feel I should have to because she made the decision to walk away from this marriage and now should suffer what comes along with that. Mother in law tried threatening me with court. What should I say/do?

I have this issue were the place I was last employed I was a security guard. The employees inside of the factory needed a way to contact me in case of an emergency so I gave them my cell number considering I would be outside and only entered the building once and hour. Now I have this wife from one of the men who had my phone number, accussing me of sleeping with her husband. Which I never have and never will. But the way she contacted me is funny because with her having my phone number she felt the need to contact me on Myspace. THe accussations she is claiming are all false and I would never cheat on my husband. So why contact me on Myspace instead of calling me like a grown woman with accussations may do? Any suggestions on how to deal with this and why she may have contacted me this way?

she would rather see her daughter miserable and stay with him than get divorced. he tells her mother all kinds of bad stuff about me and brings her kids to see her all the time. the worse thing is the mother believes him. my girlfriend has told her mother how she feels but that doesnt matter to her. i talked to the mother let her know how i feel and how much her daughter means to me and how unhappy she was in the marriage and she still sides with him. she won't come to our house and she will only email her daughter.

Question: What do you put on a application if it asks if you're single, married, or divorced?

I lot of applications asks if your singled, married, or divorced and sometimes i put that i'm singled because right now, at this present time, i am but i've been married before and my divorce was about 13 years ago. Would i be lying to them if i say that i'm singled even though i've been divorced?

My mom's been divorced twice, the most recent one is almost 1 year ago. She's been dating this guy for 4 months. I'm 16, my sister is 13 and she's never home. My mom isn't either. She's gone from 10 AM-1 AM on the weekends. I only see her for 3 hours a day during the week because of schedules. She used to be at his place all the time but now, even though she said she wouldn't, she's bringing him here all the time and tells me to introduce him to my friends. I won't, because its too weird and then she does it. It's too cliche. I've talked to her but she says I'm trying to dictate her life and getting in the way of her happiness. I've confronted him too, but he doesn't care about me because my mom's sleeping with him and he's old, like 55, and she's barely 40. He barely leaves my house anymore and my mom forces his company on me. Took him to my job interview, they drop me off with my friends. And she makes fun of me when she runs out of subjects with him. And once she hit me. Not herself

I noticed that a lot of folks would suggest "read the Bible", "go to Pastor", "Lord will save you". I respect peoples' beliefs, but how exactly does it help? How would a pastor be better than a professional counsellor? Personally, I am not religious, but I have a faith, and I don't understand how could believing in God help sort out your problems this very minute. If someone feels bad, they should take a phone and reach a friend or take a bath. Would it not be better, than praying?

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, and am in an abusive relation. Verbal, & Physical. He keeps threatening me and calling me names, and he pushes me around. I'm unhappy, miserable, and depressed. And I feel that things are only gonna get worse. He has flipped me of matrasses, thrown a pair of steel toe boots at me and busted open my ankle. And just recently (still have the bruise) he shoved me through the house with force, and down the steps. Almost causing me to break my tail bone. My dog has the really thick ceramic food bowls, and I fell into that, and now I have a bruise and a knot on my butt. I couldn't sit down for a week, and it still hurts and it's been a little over 2 weeks I think, if that long. Should I leave when he's not here, or what I don't know. I appreciate the help. Thank you. I do have somewhere to go. I'm gonna go to my dad's.

My husband and I are both almost at 30. We've been together for 6 years and have a child in elementary school. He goes out with his friends to be out in the "Club Scene" (he calls it "networking" ), go out to drink at his buddy's house, or met up with his Aunt at a bar she is a regular at. He knows I don't approve of the amount of times a week he goes out. Especially coming home at unacceptable hours, but he doesn't take me seriously. On top of all of this I've been carrying the household for 60% of the time that we've been married. How do I get him Grow UP and to take me seriously in the fact that I'm not going to be taken for granted anymore???
