Sikh's Dating Black American Women?

I know arranged marriages are the rule in this religion, my thing is why are Sikh men dating American women if they cant marry them?A Sikh guy that I met about 8 months ago at a store he works in across the street from my apartment wants to date me very bad!He is extremely attractive & his family has a lot of money.He lets me drive his car & gives me money and told me I can have whatever I want.His uncle noticed that he has become quite fond of me& told him that if he didnt stop talking with me so much that he would call his parents in India!This guy is 24 years old!He said he doesnt care about what his uncle thinks. I like him a lot too because he is a total sweetheart & he spoils me rotten. I am also Black & I know a lot of people are prejudice against Black Americans.I know in the long run he will probably have to go by what his family wants unless he is willing to put up a fight, but I dont know if I want to go through all the rejection. By me being Black, I'm tired of that...

I could care less about the money. He is very charming and he is super fine! I would love to get to know him better. He is the one who keeps telling me to ask him for whatever I want. I never ever knew he had money. I'm no thigh maintenance so I dont care about that.

please be very careful who you fall in love with. Most Indian men do not marry out of There race, yes they will spend money on you and have fun with you, but in the end he will marry his own races, especially if his family does not approve of you. I`m 28 and i am American black woman i been with my husband who is from India for 6 years, his parents were not happy when we got married because i was black, but when they saw my pictures that i`m a light skin black woman, they said oh she not that dark!!! how rude i thought, but i really don`t care what they think, my husband and i are happy with 3 children and one due in august. when his Indian friend find out that he married to American the first thing they ask is the marriage for a green card! my husband already has his green card, and he still with me. i love him to death, but to do it all over again i would definitely Think twice. good luck and be safe!!!! e-mail me if you have any question

Who told you this that arranges marriages are rule in Sikh religion? I'm an Indian married to a Sikh lady, my daughter married to a Sikh man; both marriages were love marriages not arranged. If these Sikh men are dating American women they can definitely marry them also but they don't do so. Reason I will tell you. Main reason is that they are afraid of alimony amount that they may have to pay if ever there is a divorce. I have asked many of such fellows this & almost everyone told me for marriage purpose they'll prefer Indian lady only because of this reason as American ladies can make them bankrupt in case of divorce, so dear there is nothing in their religion that prevent them in getting married to you American ladies, its the money they may have to pay you if there is a divorce that matters. Hope you understand this now.

It's up to him whether he goes for the whole arranged marriage thing especially if he is an American citizen. America is the land of the free. I don't believe in prejudice because I believe no matter what we all bleed red! Talk to him and see what he wants to do. In the end it is his choice.

Most of the Indian boys were intrested on american girls because those boys thinks that american girls are sexy and they can use them just for satisfying their lust. but they dont want them as their life partners because they are too frank, and they are not like indian girls in family care and house maintanance.

But in case of this boy you are saying that he want to go by his family side. so if he likes to date with you or marry you is the matter.

Religion, tradition and blood ties of the people of India are VERY strict. India society is unusually prudish too....they even still do "honor" murder of women in certain areas of their nation.

He will NEVER take a stand against his family for you or any other woman who does not meet the standards set by their family and societies strictures.

For your sake and self respect and love.....move on. India women are not treated all that well dear.

if he is willing to stick it out with you then i say go for it. but don't love him for his money or the fact that he spoils you. because if he does go against his families wishes he may very well be disowned and have no money or family. i guess its really up to him. does he want no more to do with his family? is he willing to sacrifice it all for you? i would think really hard about this because they do arranged marriages there and he may already be spoken for. so i would really talk to him and think things out together and see what comes from that. good luck to you both. :)

well ask yourself this question , if he decides to make a stand , and holds onto you against his families wishes , and they cut him off from the money , would you still be with him , now that he can't spoil you , and give you everything that you want? if the answer is yes , i think you should go the distance , i YOU! fight for him , tooth and nail , give him the reasons to fight for you even if the money is gone , BUT if your answer was no , then it is quite obvious that YOU are into him 4 the money.
