Marriage & Divorce - 20 November 2006

My husband is a jerk, he is 23 and Im 21. We were married when I was 16. We have 2 kids ages 4 and 2. He works all day. But he is so mean to me when he comes home. He calls me names and when I ask him for something he gets an attitude and rolls his eyes. He always says that he is going to leave, which I dont think I would mind but I dont have a job. I am trying to go to school. if he left he would take our van and how would I pay the house payment!

I dont know what to do!
Please Help!

I always feel sad when I see other complete families. I am divorced and my child lives with my ex-husband in another state. I divorced my ex because he was controlling, money-minded and abusive.

It hurts me when I see others happy with their families (husband, wife and children) I feel like I have failed in life and that nothing has worked out.

My career and family life are not where they should be and my child is not doing as well as she could be since she does not have both parents around her.

My life is in such a mess compared to others who grew up with me. Its hard not to compare yourself to your peers.

I just don't see any good in my life except that I am alive.

How do you deal with this issue?

I married my wife and vowed unconditional love for her.
She has had an affair and I still love her dearly and I dont want to lose her. To me sex is sex. Love is different. I can, and have forgiven her, because I love her no matter what her faults. I feel that is unconditional love. Am I wrong? Whats your opinion?

I've know my partner for 6 years and we met through mutual friends. We became intimate about two years after eventhough we each were with someone. 3 years later, I became pregnant and had our now three year old daughter. He was rarely in our daughter's life during her first year. When our daughter turned one, he moved out of his house and a few months later moved in with me and our daughter and we've been together ever since. Everytime we get in to an argument about his ex, I feel he gets really defensive and the argument is more than it should be. I think he still is trying to get his ex to forgive him and that's why he allows her to get away with the things she does. He has regular visitation with his children and what she puts him through and he takes really frustrates me. The only time he opens up to me about the situation is when I ask him questions. Do I end our relationship as it has been two years since he left so he could decide where he wants to be or hang in there?

My wife has had a secret relationship going on with a guy for nearly 3 years & i found out about it. She swears that it is friendship only but that he is very special to her & she won't give him up even though our marriage & family is at stake because of it. She says there are many reasons why she chose not to tell me about him (& why he didn't tell his wife either) most of which seem to revolve around her feeling that i wouldn't have tolerated it in the first place so she decided not to bother facing the objection. She expects me to put all the lies & deception in the past & put up with their relationship now. I can't except that this emotional affair will continue & she won't stop it. Any thoughts?

My brother and I are products of a 7 yr. affair.My mom and dad were both married with childeren.The relationship ended when my dads wife figured it out. My mom was really hurt because he always told her he was going to leave his wife and never did.He started to deni that we were his and fought paternity. Needless to say it was proven and he had to pay support. My mother had a lean on thier house because he wasnt paying for half of our births. Years went by and we never met him. When I turned 18 he tried to contact me and I ignored it. Then when I was 20 he asked my cusin to ask my mom if she would take lean off.He wanted to sell his house. She said hell no.Then when I turned 24 he tried to meet us agian and my brother and I finally agreed.It felt like I knew him my whole life!!He gave my brother and I $700 each and told us not to tell anyone. I found out later that he owed my mom $1400. He sold his house! w/o moms sig. he really tries to be fam. now but I ques. motives!!!

He's always been this way. First, he didn't want me to go to church. I was a stay at home mom who couldn't drive and didn't go no where. Pastors wife would pick me up, and take me to church on Sunday morning. Hubby complained he worked all the time and didn't get to spend enough time with me and the kid. Later I started going to Bible study on Wednesday night, and he REALLY didn't like that. Now sometimes, there are social events like dinners, and communions, and he says I "don't need to" go to more than one church service a week. I don't get it. I mean its church, for petes sake. Why is he like this? He was brought up Catholic and had to go to church all the time when he was little. I developed my relationship with God when I was 20 and have been involved with a church. But my hubby feels threatened or something if I go more than once a week?

I wiork and she does nothing all day but sleep. She takes care of the kids but only cleans the house when it is out of hand. We never have clean cloths and I look terrible for work every monday because I am busy doing everything she does not get done during the week. We fight about it and she says she is not a slave.

A friend of mine says that he;s attracted to all kiinds of women. Just can't get enough of them. He's almost obsessed with looking at their rear-ends and undressing them with his eyes. He hits on them at any opportunity. Its almost like a sport. Is this a mental condition or what?

My husband spends hundreds of dollars on gifts for his parents but gets me gift UNDER $10.00. It really really hurts my feeling that he takes so much time and money on gifts for his parents then runs into walmart and grabs me a wallet or pj's!I have told him how this hurts my feeling but he dont seem to care.
Last year i got him a big screen TV and he got me 1 pair of granny Pj's.
My birthday he starts a fight and goes fishing EVERY YEAR.He may or may not get me a book.
Since being with him I DREAD anything that has to do with me mothersday my birthday anything beings he starts a fight and leaves.EVERYTIME.

How do I make him see that this is really causing a rift in our marriage.

i am a mother of 2 and after quitting my job 3 years ago i stay home and take care of my kids. my husband work overseas.. i feel bored and i lost my self confidence, i used to be independent. i want to work again but it is really hard to find a job in these days..
i have these mood swings and i know my kids are somehow affected but i can't help it.. i feel i am useless and bored of my daily routine. what will i do... ?
