I think one should get married when both people in the relationship are madly in love, financially stabile, and have their own place to move to. I don't think that 21 is a good age considering people don't graduate college until 22-24 years old. You can get married at any age, but you should seriously consider the financial aspect of the relationship. Most divorces happen b/c the wife & husband fight over money.

Legally you can get married at age 18 in most places. Some states and countries allow it as young as 16, but that's awfully young IMO.

I'd say you should wait until you're at a point where you're mature enough to face life on your own, and you have the income and resources to do so. Ideally, this would be after you've finished college, and have lived on your own for at least a year, where you've paid ALL of your own expenses - rent, food, car, insurance, medical, etc. That way you know what's involved with keeping up a household, and you've shown that you can do it. Then you can think about getting married.

Lets see the first time I was 19..... Way too young. Didn't do it again till I was 40. I think somewhere between 20 and 25 for female and 25 to 30 for male. All depends on the maturity level of the persons involved.

Are you speaking of "legally" or level of maturity?

Legally, I think it's usually 18 depending on the state, but there are ways to get married earlier and still have it legal. For example if the woman is pregnant can cause an exception.

Level of maturity? Later is probably better but there are no guarantees. Some people never grow up.

I think that mid to late 20's would be appropriate. It depends on the person though. They have to be mature and know what they are getting into. Marriage involves a lot of adjustment and compromise.

Age is not a deciding factor in my mind, but maturity is.

30 - after you have dated every kind of man and decided from each of those what you want in one man. After you have travelled and seen all the world has to offer after you have made great memories with great friends and you are ready to share those memories and make some more with someone special. After you have educated yourself and tried out many careers and found one you love. After you have experiences all life has to offer and enjoyed all you can enjoy alone you get married so you can experience them all over again with someone you truly love, when your ready to have children and teach them of all the wonderful things you have experienced to lead them in the right direction to experience all those wonders too. That's when you should think about getting married!!!

I dont think age has anything to do with it besides leagality. When someone is mature enough to make the decision that is what should matter. Too many divorces in the world because of dumb young kids

legally you should be 18 (in most states).
You should be mature enough to know that with marriage comes a lot of responsibilities.
Think to yourself if you are ready to commit to one person and if you are ready for a family, because usually after marriage, then comes children(not in all cases)
Think about how your life will change and see if you are ready for the change.

21 is too young. At 21, you should be going out with friends and experiencing life.

I'd say at least 25. You change a lot in the years between 18 and 25. It would suck to "outgrow" each other in such a short time.
