We have been struggling with trying to pay rent for an apartment. I've always had a steady job since I was 16 but he can't keep one for more than 2 months. The bills need to be paid every month! Not whenever he can keep a job. I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm on my own. I love him. But I don't feel that its right to try and change him. Otherwise, how will he become a better man if I do? Help me plz. No matter what I say it doesn't work. I'm so broke providing for us. Help...plz!

I've always heard that the "little things" in a relationship were the most important. My husband calls me from work every day during his lunch break, just to say "hi" and "I love you" and ask if I need him to bring anything home after work. What "little thing" does your spouse do that makes you feel special?

enormous pain in the neck to bring lunch since i work in nyc and take the bus in. also, i am an italian male and like most italian guys i get cranky when i dont eat right. am i being selfish for not bagging my lunch? i truly enjoy getting out for a few minutes during the day and finding something decent to eat on the streets of nyc. i feel it improves the quality of my life. am i being selfish for spending 5-6 bucks a day on this? in general, i am not a big spender but maybe she sees this as symbolic of a lack of willingness to compromise.
is this such a terrible thing for me to do? not that it matters but i also earn 2 1/2 times as much as she does. and her credit card bills average twice mine.

My friend divorced her husband when she was 3 months pregnant. He had been cheating on her throughout their marriage, and she just found out then. She's due to have their baby next month, and he doesn't want any part of it.
She's currently dating an old friend who wants to help her with the baby-even if things don't work out he wants to raise the baby with her.
If she puts this new guy's name on the birth certificate (her ex will know about it), does he still have any rights? Would she and the new guy be better off if they married, too?

My partner has three children from a previous relationship. He and I have one child together. Lately I've been wanting one more child but I know he's not going to want anymore children. His last two kids were not planned. This man says he wants to spend the rest our lives together. What would you do? Leave him and be involved with some who does wants kids or stay with him and be happy with our child and his three kids?

My partner and I have been together and cohabitated for two years next month. We've known each other for almost seven years. We have a three year old child together. In the beginning of the year he asked me if I was ready to "take it to the next level" with him. We currently are attending relationship counseling to try and resolve communication problems we've been having. How long should a person wait to see if this guy really wants to take it to the next level before thinking he's just stringing me along?

My future mother-in-law pretended to be my best friend while I was helping her out or doing things for her, but now that I've realized that she was just using me she and I've stopped, she is trying to come between me and my fiance. He has already told her that if this is how she's going to act, then he wants nothing to do with her, but that's not enough for her. Now there are things on the net and all over my area about how I have brainwashed her son into staying with me and how I am so jealous of her. This woman is 50 years old, and I guess I was wrong when I assumed that you reached an age when you grew up. She has come in between my future sister-in-law and her husband several times. I have tried the nice way of telling her to butt out, but she doesn't get it. She thinks I'm being too hard on her, and actually had the nerve to tell me that my fiance absolutely must do things when she asks him to because he is her son and he owes her. What do you do with a person like this?

Last night I was watching intervention on TV. The husband and wife split on and get on with their new lives. One of their daughters is completely heartbroken and both parents miss this. Fast forward a few years and she is on meth and stripping to make a living. Here is a link to the show:

I think there are some situations where divorce is a legitamate final decision but I also think this is done sometimes for selfish reasons and not necessary.

Work hard on your marraige and please your mate in all ways. Put your spouse above all else and if you don't know what they want ask. If you can not be fulfilled together at least agree to have a peacefull house for your children and when they are out of the house then seperate. If there is abuse, adultry or addiction then yes divorce may be what you must do. If not try to make it work and put your wants aside for a few years for the sake of your children.

What do you think?

I got married in January 2004.
I filed divorce case in California. My spouse is not with me by last 10 months. We were in contact by mail/ phone/ chat but I stopped talking/ contacting her three months back.

I decided to go for divorce and filed a case in September.
She does not want divorce but I want divorce.

She signed papers on 15th September (summon).
