I am not a military wife now, but was a ong time ago..I suggest that you get together with other wives whose husbands are with yours ...You get together and it makes it alot easier to deal with..You have your own support team that will be there for you...Good Luck to you and God bless your husband ........He will be home eventually but you have to remain strong during that time ..So chin up and walk proud ...Your husband is defending our country...Be damn PROUD

Explore the options - military generally have programs/support groups for military wives.
Any chance of you being able to relocate to Guam?
We can suggest support groups/hobbies/job etc... but it won't stop you from missing the physical side of your relationship with your husband... I would really see about moving to Guam if you can't see yourself going months and months(or year) without intimacy with your husband.

Kayla...how far are you from the base or any military base. Most of them have family unit groups and all sorts of services for wives while their husbands are deployed. I have watched my daughter in law go through this twice now, I know its hard. The best thing is to be with other wives who understand and can help.

You need to find some hobbies or some women's groups that you can join. It is a difficult time for him to leave with the holidays and stuff. It is part of being a military wife.

You made your bed so you must sleep in it. The best help will come from other military wives. They have support groups.

You have chosen a tough path, one for strong independent wives. If you are neither and have no kids, you may want to reconsider if your life is impossible. But make every effort to make it work, it will be a growth experience for you. If you have kids, stick it through, you must for their sake.

i don't know whats it like to be married but i know that it's no different from a boyfriend girlfriend relationship just have faith because the only thing that is making you feel left out and it is sex.
So don't get caught up because trust me you will fall for anyone it is better to have a man trust you rather than making him think of you as a nasty slut, ***** you know what i am saying be true to yourself and wait on that man talk to him as he go threw each and everyday of his life we all know that we have to make sacrifices in our life it is hard but hold on go to church or something but i know for sure that you have to wait.

find some hobbies, I'm also aware that most military support groups offer counseling for the spouse left behind on long deployments.
