Marriage & Divorce - 12 November 2006

My brother is a drunk and bi-ploer, we have been dealing with this for 10 years. He has been to rehab a few times and its the same thing over and over. None of the family will let him live with them anymore and now he is homeless. I just dont know when its time to let go. I check on him everyday. I make a point to see him everyday and my parents pay his cell phone bill so we can talk to him but he still just drinks and drinks and wont take his meds. I feel like he is going to die soon if the state dose not take over. Does anyone know how to force a doctor to commit him to a mental hospital???

if it is said that marital status is terminated on a certain date, can you get married the next day? example, if the court says that marital status is terminated on november 6th, can you already get married on the 7th? when can u get married after a marriage is terminated?

My husband and I have been married for almost 7yrs. Both of us come from divorced families. We like both of our parents have 2 children.According to my husband all we have ever done is fight.Of course I don't agree it's just been little arguements here and there for the last two years.Here lately they seem to be getting worse.They started when I was pregnant with our 2nd child and he cheated on me.We separated for about 4 months and the whole time I was miserable w/o him.I truly loved him then (& still do) and he moved back home.For the last yr though it seems like things have fallen apart.He says he doesn't love me anymore but won't leave. When asked if he wants a divorce he says I don't know.His answer to everything is "I don't know" He doesn't know if he loves me,he doesn't know if he cares about me, he doesn't seem to know anything where he and I are concerned.So how much I don't know is enough when you love someone as much as i love him?How long do I have to be miserably in love?

I am 36 years old divorced woman. I have a proposal from a man who is almost perfect. If I marry him then I will have everything that I want from life. The only problem is that he is persistant that he does not want kids, on the other hand I am dying for kids. Keep in mind that he has kids from his first wife, but I don't have any kids. I am extremely confuse about what should I do, reject him or accept him?

been divorced 4 yrs was nasty now we get along for our son sake.how do you handle gift giving with your ex .our son is only 6 so he can't go out and buy "dad" a gift.he always makes like a card and makes things at school for dad..do you go out an buy a gift for you ex from your child?my new husband said no thats to weird.but my friend said thats what she does for x-mas and fathers day.so my question is do you just have your child "make' something for your ex or do you go out and buy something from the child to give to dad?

I'm very family oriented and grew up in a big family. I grew up in a small town and stayed pretty close to home even when i moved out. I married my husband who was in the military and knew somewhat what this kind of life would entail. Now though we got stationed at Fort Bliss Texas. All of my family is in Massachusettes. I am finding myself very homesick and lonely. We only have one car so its hard fro me to get out of the house and we dont live on base so its not like I can just walk to the px or something. Also my sons first birthday is tomarrow and my family cant afford to come out for his birthday. I havent made any friends and I just dont know what to do. Its lonely and hard and I need some advice.

Waht would be your reaction ladies? Maybe I am just paranoid,but if my wife bought me a 60" plasma tv,which is about how much these earrings costed,I would be putty in my wifes hands for a long time.Maybe she isn't into material things,but these were the earrings she has wanted for two years and I have been saving that long to buy her these earrings. My mother-in-law lives five hours from us and she is single. She is 72 and meaner than a snake. She has nothing nice to say to me or our oldest son. (Our boys are 6 & 8) She refuses to make her house festive because it appears "too messy." What do I say to my husband? We have been married for nearly seven years and this is an ongoing fight. I have been with my fiance since 04, when we found out we were prego with my daughter. We moved 4 hours from my family to live with his dad. I dont know what to do, or if I am going thru just weird emotions right now. Its got to the point that everything he says seems to be rude, or ignorant. when he is around his friends, I ask him to do something he wont right away in case they think he is "wooped". I know we love each other, but it just seems sometimes things arent going to get better. Sex isnt even that grand anymore, I just dont feel that spark....could this all be becuase we have been togetehr so long, and life just got to being normal like this or is it time to move our separte ways?

My boyfriend is VERY close to his mom... He is also loves to take nakedpics of me and has of past girlfriends. He constantly states ow he is a "Mama's Boy"and how much he loves his mother.Well... Today he was up in the attic and i walke up the steps to see what he was doing and he says, (with a twinkle in his eye) that he just found a naked pic of his mother. He was not grossed out what so ever and almost seemed happy about it. I let it go and then i when he didnt come down right away. After a little bit he called me up and started to give me details about cable wires that he was trying to fix. I asked him why I needed to know and he says "I just want u to know why i am up here" (weird) Well then I said let me see the pic. he brings it down and takes another look at it before handing it over to me??!!After I look at it he then put it in his ROOM!i didnt say anyhting still... a few min later he cracks a joke about how he was going to take it to kinkos to blow it up!IamSICKover this?

This is in regards to a question that was asked earlier. A young woman asked about" If a man says he is happily married but has a long term affair??" One of the responses from another man was " basically that if the woman was happy in her marriage than why should it matter, because having sex with another woman was nothing more than a form of masterbation, as long as there are no feelings involved, because women in the old days accually appriciated when their men visited prostitutes because it would relieve them of their wifely duties" Please tell me I am not the only one who has any moral values!!! someone said that circumcision is a religios necessity for some people. if the jews wanted to cut off the baby boys hands rather than his foreskin, do you think they could get away with it by calling it "a religious necessity" ??????? another person said that the foreskin serves no purpose. well ya if you forget about the fact the removal of the foreskin results in the removal of about 3 million nerve endings and about 50% of the boys sensitivity. then someone said it looked ugly. well if its ok to perfrom a cosmetic preocedure on a baby boys penis, then it must be ok to give him a face lift and a nose job as well huh. to this day, not a single medical study has found an increase in infections in uncircumcised boys and not a single medical organization in the entire USA recomends the procedure. think about that??

I want a divorce, but I'm only 20 and a sophmore in college with no job and a 2 1/2 year old. How could I manage on my own? In britian, they just made it illegal to perform circumcision on boys unless medically necessary. At least a chunk of the world is becoming more civilized. They call it male genital mutilation in Britian now and if performed illegally, the person responcible can spend up to 20 years in prison. if it is such a good precedure as so many americans claim, then why have they illegalized it in Britian.

a.m. hours but this time when he comes into to town he says he wants to meet early. Does that mean he wants to hang out then go for the sex part or does that mean he wants to have sex longer?
