I figure someone has to have the final say and it seems to make sense that the man should have the final say in things. After all governments that tried to have two emperors or kings with equal power always failed. Am I right?

He helps very little around the house. I work twice as much and make 3x as much as he does. I'm tired after working 12 hours and come home to a messy house. I do most of the cleaning. To get him to help is like pulling teeth and nails.

After I left him 7 months ago, he had someone else move in shortly after I left (about 2 months later). now it seems he wishes to "marry" this person! We were together 6 years. Thanks for your input.

He sees that he needs help with his anger and I do also. We get mad over petty stuff many times. I think it is alot of built up anger we have towards eachother. We have been together 7 yrs. and as far as my side I have felt he never stood up for me to his family. They have never excepted the fact that I had 2 kids from a previous marriage therefore I felt they tried evertything to destroy us. He seen this after two yrs. of being married but he did not tell them to back off. I finally got over it after 4yrs. but he was still caught up in the middle with his mother and I. I feel that it played a role in his anger and escelated towards me because I am the closest person. Over the years I have felt that he was always looking for a reason to get out of the marriage. Now we have talked about our feelings and let it all out calmly and we recognize what we did wrong. We do not know how to get past this pain w/o hurting eachother. Recently he hit me what do we do?

I know it depends on how mature the child/ren are but there seems to be no legal age? My guideline I have used is 14.

the more sexist i become. I used to be all about womens rights and all that. i used to think that all the women who complained about there men really were being mistreated by their men. I have come to realize that women just like to whine. If they have nothing to whine about, they will invent something. Women are just pathetic. I got absolutely nothing from my ex-wife that i couldnt have gotton from a hooker. NOTHING!!! Im so glad that we had no kids and that i talked her into signing a prenuptual agreement. She even tried overturn the prenup by claiming that i beat her. I never layed a finger on her. I have lost all respect for women. They are liars and only use men to benefit themselves.

I can understand having money ready before you have kids, but unless you plan on letting your wife stay home all day, why can't she work too? You can get financially stable together! They say that so many marriages end in divorce, but that statistic is misleading. It doesn't count how many other relationships don't survive to even get to the point of marriage! most relationships end, it's not just marriages! So being financially ready isn't going to ensure your marriage will work; it just makes us think you don't want to marry us.

is it true that most of the time arab/middle eastern man will have to marry an arab lady as their first wife.. for those muslims guys the 1st wife is always arab den the 2nd wife will be indonesian or chinese or another race? and i knew someone she is an indonesian and married a dubai man . yes she wear all the branded clothes/ wealthy in terms of money but it seems that her husband does not want to be seen with her being the fact that she is non middle eastern. and treated like a second class citizen..
so tell me is it true ?? any thoughts? correct me if im wrong . i'm open to all answers

Is it the reality that it is not enough for a guy to be good and love the woman he wants. He needs to learn how to get her and may be he needs to shed off his good boy nature and rather be naughty towards her? There are even books which suggests about this... and what do you think? There will be no place for real hearts, only those learned robots who tickles would be the winner? Is successful love (leading to love making) most of the time a designed mechanical game instead of a natural?

Married in 2003, found out he was cheating a month later, followed by physical abuse, then wouldn't allow me to see my side of the family for more than one day a week, and would time how long we were over there so we could make up that time to his family. Had a son in 2004, the abuse continues, left him went back because he promised to go to marriage counseling with me, tried marriage counseling but he decided he didn't need help because nothing is wrong. Then he left because his reserve unit became activated. Saw this as my opportunity to leave him without the risk of more physical abuse, so packed up his belongings and informed his parents of situation and moved his things back to their house. his parents hate me because he tells them lies, that nothing ever happened when he admitted everything to our counselor!

I file for divorce in April 2006, took me awhile to file becuase it was hard decision I had told him it was over in January, yes while he was overseas.

I was talking to my grandma the other day and she told me something that I will never forget. She said for the first year of marriage, put a penny in a jar every time you have sex. Then after that first year, take a penny out of the jar every time you have sex. She said by the time you die, the jar will still have pennies in it. Now I know women say that they dont change after marriage, but my grandma whos is 83 says that is just BS. She says women who say this are just trying to fool you into marrying them. What you people think of my grandma??? is she wise or what????

My bf and i have been together on and off for 8 yrs we met in 7th grade and went out through high school and college. I am 21 yrs old and he is 22 yrs old now and i will be graduating from college within the next few months and so will he.I felt like it was time to make a commitment so i brought up the question of marriage and he proposed three weeks later now after 4 months of being engaged i find out he hates children and has made an appointment to have a vasectomy done!I feel very hurt i have always wanted children of my own and am a family oriented person and from a big family . I want to have my first child at 24 or 25 years of age and a second child at 27 or 28 years of age. I have tried to talk to him but he says he is just not that way?what to do?

First thanks for all the answers. it appears that my husband talks to another woman every week, sometimes 2 to 3 times a week. I tryed to search for her name using www.intelius.com but it comes back with no report. I dont want to hire PI now untill he starts to behave worse. In other words, he spend the night with me every night. he doesnt go out alone. he is home right after he gets off work. the problem is every one of his single married friend has a girl friend besides their wives. HE always tells me that i am the best woman he has ever had. he even tells me that he is so happy in t he bed with me. this is killing me. so how can get a name for all those people that he talked to only when he is not with me. most of the time he would not answer his phone and he wouldnot call back untill he leaves me, i make sure to keep record of the time he receives that call, so i can go check his phone record and confirm his lies. i used the reverse phone number check,but no result yet

We are in our 40s and married 5 yrs .My son needed 4 dollars and I told him to ask my husband for it and get my husbands wallet that was in the other room and my husband shot back and said loud and firm dont touch that wallet! I said what do you mean dont touch your wallet and he said I dont get in yours! Well I was shocked and felt very hurt and embarressed in front of my son he is 20 and he siad whoa! I went to drop the kids off and no one was there.I called my ex who did not pick up her cell. I called the police to let them know in case my ex calls and said I am playing games. The sitter finally showed up and hour later. I told my ex if the sitter is that irresponsible I don't want my kids with her. I told my lawyer also. Other advice?

i am 24 and i have been with my husband for 6 years and married for 2, my problem is i just seem to have fallen out of love with him and everything he does just gets on my nerves i cant help it. i have tried to talk to him but he just doent get where im comming from, i know he loves me so much and would do anything for me and i feel terrible for what ive been thinking lately i just cant snap out of it. i cant even bear him kissing or cuddling me. we also have 2 young children, i feel im 24 going on 40 i have no life anymore and feel ive done too much to young. all i seem to think about is divorce. im so confused and unhappy i dont know what to do.

My children and I are about to be evicted, we have very little food, the electric is about to be cut off, etc... How do i go about getting this idiot to pay what he should. I have gone thru the channels and they treat me like the bad guy. I am the one struggling and trying to make a better life for my kids by going to nursing school, while this guy is out living large, he has no one but hisself to take care of. Cause he sure is not paying his part to help me take care of the child we made. If anyone is going thru this or anyone has good advice, please feel free to respond. Serious responses only please.
