I figure someone has to have the final say and it seems to make sense that the man should have the final say in things. After all governments that tried to have two emperors or kings with equal power always failed. Am I right?

Yes you are actually. I mean when it comes down to it yes. Ofcourse women have a different role but I personally trust my husband and dearly respect him and could not imagine being the one that makes the final say. I get pleasure from seeing him work so hard, making great decisions, he doesn't have anger issues or anything like that...he's all around great! He's my King and as his Queen I support his every step and I know he does for me too.

Now if you asked me when I was a feminist in my earlier years I would of told you to go F yourself..lol..but now that I am married to a man who is worthy of respect I finally understand what the role of a wife and husband could be and I am enjoying it!

As long as you watch your behavior and words as a husband your wife will feel secure and happy. She will give you the best of everything!! And when I say everything I mean everything!! ..lol..

Q: Should the husband have final say in arguments or decisions that need to be made?
A: Depends, does he have the best idea or not.

Q: Are you right?
A: No, your logic is poorly thought out and has no bearing on marriage.

As stated someone has to be the final authority. In my belief the man has the final say. Having said that the man will also be responsible for the outcome of his decisions.

Men and women make the decisions ..Man has final say or suppose to ..christians believe this.. Because God makes him and gives him the responsibility 2 if he fails he is even more responsible ..it would kind of suck to have final say so always youd have to know you were right most times or have to answer to God. think about it..Men the leaders.. but can they???

They should both reach a compromise. If a compromise can't be reached then they should consult a trusted third party. Being married is not about deciding who's in charge, it's a partnership involving 2 people who both have valid opinions, ideas, and the ability to make decisions.

Me thinks you could be wrong. Most kings are tyrants and are usually overthrown as well as most power hungry governments. Marriage is a partnership - it really shouldn't be about "winning" or the "final say" - it should be a compromise.

Depends on wife. If she is economically independent and educated unilateral decisions will not work. It is better to go ahead with the consent of both. The technique suggested might work, but only for a short while, with wives who are dependent and are not highly educated.

Sorry Jason but I have to disagree with you on this one. When arguments occur a compromise needs to be made that is suitable to both parties. Otherwise resentment and feeling of low self esteem will take shape and then the relationship is doomed.

no. you need to come to an agreement. sometimes her decision will turn out to be better and sometimes yours will and then sometimes it will be a combination of what you both wanted or even something totally different that ya'll agree on. the husband is not the ruler of the house. husband and wife work together to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Happy relationships require two people who are flexible givers. How many times has somebody told you about "give and take"?

I think you must be awefully insecure if you think you need to control everything to the point where you are looking to be a dictator in a romantic relationship.
