I asked another question about a friend of mine whos wife has threatened suicide if he leaves the unhappy marriage. I thought she trapped him, but one answer stuck in my mind. She said that it takes two and she didnt force him to impregnante her. I think there are very true stories of women trapping men this way, and I believe it can and does happen. At 16 she should know how to get pregnant, not just him. It is her body, so if she deliberately falls pregnant in an attempt to get someone she loves to commit to her, then what if he doesnt, what if he refuses to do the right thing and walk away. She is the one who is going to be left to bring the child up alone. If a 19 year old was playing the field with other girls and this particular girl was not in a love relationship with him. but fell pregnant in the hope he would "do the right thing", who is more to blame? Sure, he should have used condoms, but the fault should not just be with him. What do you think?

live in Oklahoma. Been married for almost 5 months. Caught husband cheating last night and kicked him out of the house. I owned the house before we were married. He has put in jail for public intox. and has had a drinking problem the whole time we have been together. We have never even slept in the same bed b/c of his snoring and sleep apnea, but we got along good and i thought that we had a good marriage that just needed to be worked on like most out there! but i kicked him out and today he said that he got an apartment already (don't know he was being honest about that or not). Do i wait to let him file for divorce first? What rights do i have? What should be my next steps? Is there any such thing as working through it? Any advice from people who have gone through something like this would be appreciated.

I like a guy who is in the Army. He has been talking about children (we both have one child each), asking about remarriage, how much he owes on his car, buying a house etc. H e asked me if I think I would remarry. I told him not really. I am recently divorced he had been divorced for ten years. I think he is having some issues with his son, he lives with him. My daughter and I are just great, typical mom/daughter stuff. He says that he can be fickle, but when we are talking face to face I get the impression that he is a little scared. So am I. He double talks- he says he doesn't have the energy to be in a relationship but thinks I would make a good wife. I don't get...

We have tried everything. Now we are trying a separation. I just don't know what else to do. He is on drugs, and I have tried to be supportive(after all, it is a disease).

He is now crying about how he can and wants to change. Am I too mean by saying "you didn't cry when you put the joint up to your lips. You didn't cry when our last $100 for groceries went up in smoke. And you didn't cry like I did when I admitted we needed counseling. Now you are crying."?

I got a promotion at work, and soon after, my boss called me into the office and told me if there's anything I wanted to talk about to talk about it. He seen a decline in my personality and just wanted to give me some support groups that could help. Now that I have found a place, my personality changed, just knowing I am going to get out of this mess. I wanted to help him, I tried to help. Who else put 110% into their marriage and it still failed? In the end, I know I am a winner for getting through this.

ok, this is embarassing but i'm asking this anyway. my husband and i recently got married (about 2 months ago) and were both virgins before marriage. i'm still having a hard time during sex - as in, it hurts when he penetrates me. its painful enough that i don't let him go in all the way (or maybe he's not in the right place? i don't know, it sounds stupid, right?). we've tried lubrication and foreplay, etc. i don't think he bought KY, is there any lubrication you prefer over another?

does it take a while for a woman to get "loose" down there? its fine for my hubby (ie he orgasms just fine)- i just can't seem to get aroused enough because of the pain. i can't even try being on top - there's no way he could penetrate me that way - it hurts.

also, is it really true that some women don't have an orgasm during penetrative sex - they need to be stimulated manually (ie. fingering)? just curious b/c that's what's happening to me.

Do you think that less attractive people are likely to take better care of their relationships because they encounter less temptations and have less 'options' so they make what they have the best they can? Or could it be that you think more attractive people make better choices up front because they do have more options? Lets not have fits, I know looks aren't a good basis for a relationship but lets not pretend they don't matter. I also get the beauty is in the eye of the beholder thing but we all know there are some people that pretty much everyone finds attractive (thus playboy and playgirl success). How do you think it influences long term relationships and their success or failure? Do you remember that song that said if you want to be happy for the rest of your life never make a pretty woman your wife? Just wondering what you think.

My husband and I have an almost 4 year old daughter. We have been married for nearly 7 years and are headed for a divorce. We have tried counseling and I still feel that we need to seperate. Who has done this and how did you work it out? He wants me to leave the house and go somewhere to get myself straightened out.
What's the best way to handle a seperation? Who goes and who stays?
