Marriage & Divorce - 1 September 2006

We got engaged 3 months ago and we signed the marriage contract to make the process of getting my visa to the US faster. But we broke up a month ago and he promised me to send a paper to empower his uncle here so as to break the contract officially with me. That paper hasn’t come yet. I heard it wouldn’t take this long time to be done, and when I ask his uncle about it he answered it is coming! I don’t want to talk to my ex fiancé as I don’t want to hear his voice or even to see his name on my screen. He hurt me much. I still can’t understand why he hasn’t sent that paper till now.

You wouldn't believe the false accusations I've had to listen to, simply because I'm too polite and don't believe in walking off or hitting people I'm in love with when they are still 'talking.'

Ladies why not some honesty and say instead 'I want to falsely accuse you of being.....?'

Often I've been too shocked to respond, making me guilty by default, so clearly it was my loss too.

And please don't say 'You should stand up for yourself more.' when all I feel like doing is crying, getting a good lawyer and then suing for liable.

Girls, sorry this is another question, but how would you like it if you were suddenly accused of being the lowest form of life under a false and flimsy pretext?

OK.....my wife was verry wild when she was single. Very.
That was fine...it actually intrigued me!
I heard all about the things she did - all the men....threesomes....one night stands...she had an incredible "appetite".
So...we got married 8 years ago.....

The nagging, the alimony payments, the mood swings and having your mothers visit is a small price to pay.

Husband is an alcoholic. I have heart problems and depression. I have not worked in four years. He is stingy and makes good money, but will not put any in an account for me or give me cash. We built a home on land my mother gave us and we probably have about 1/3 equity of what it is worth. He makes payments and says he will not move out and that he will not let me have the house. If this happens, I do not even know where to start without money of my own to speak of, unless I sell households goods, etc. and maybe I will just to hire an attorney.
