My husband is addicted to porn. I know that it is not a reflection on me, but it still hurts. When I confront him about it he lies like he thinks I'm an idiot & acts out in anger. Why does he act like this? How can I help him get away from the porn?

My husband asked me one morning on his way to work, "Please clean the house." I was taken back by this statement because that is what I do when he is gone anyway, why did he need to say that. It's like saying do your job today. I figure that you don't have to remind me, you don't have to say remember to breath, you just do. I stated this to him and he responded, "Well, it's the same as you saying work overtime this week please." I said "That is different, I am stating a fact, we need more money to pay the morgage payment, how else do I say it." I could understand him saying "clean the house", if I never cleaned it but when I questioned him he said I have been cleaning the house just fine he couldn't see any problem. I said, "Then why did you say it?" He said, "It's the same as you saying work overtime." I clearly disagree, what do you think?

What do you do when your spouse hurts you and shuts you out and does not want to cooperate or resolve anything? When your spouse does not want to discuss anything serious with you, and if it gets serious the spouse just completely shuts down and aggressively turns away? When counseling has been promised but half-heartedly done in the past and now finances are already too stretched out without the counseling? What good is counseling anyway if the issues aren't dealt with and the wife is blamed for everything? If he has changed so much and yet can still be cold and distant and not seem to care about my feelings or opinions and not want to hear anything the wife has to say. What if the husband makes a valid excuse for the wife to not get a separation so that they each by themselves can work on their own selves. Should the wife tough it out with her quiet conduct and fear of the Lord to win him over? How can such a wife submit herself to a husband who does not act like he cares for her?

dosen't deserve her!
This is crazy, I've been in a new job for about 18months and in this time I have grown very close to someone at work. It's at the point when I think about her constantly, even now when she is away on her honeymoon! She claims that she loves me and we are always trying to find time to meet and spend time together when she can get away from her fiancee(/husband now). We share intimate moments and whenever we are together there is always smiles and laughter, I went through the pain of attending the wedding reception and now going through the torture of the honeymoon but she say's that we will be able to spend more time together when she is back and even get weekends alone, in time she wants to split with him but had to go through with the wedding due to family/mortgage/possesions etc etc...

Really need advice or just peoples point of views.

Thanks

I have recently found the questions & answers my husband has been sending. I would like to say thanks for the positive comments. I love him with all my heart. I am having trouble finding myself. I feel lost. Destroyed. My heart is heavy. I do not know how to move past his indiscrection if I cannot find my way back to myself. Someone please tell me that I will recover. That I will return to my usual self in the future. It is unbearable.

He cheated on me not once but twice, am I being foolish for staying in this marriage? This was all done in a 6 month time frame and we have been married for almost 10 years. These 2 incidents are supposed to be the only times he has cheated.

I have been married for four years. In the begining of our marriage my husband and I were open with p*rn. After 3 months of marriage he got so into it that he stopped having sex with me. He would lie to me and stay he was staying up late to work but he was on the internet looking at p*rn for hours. This pattern has continued and we go through phases every 6 months where he choses p*rn over sex with me. He has never physically cheated on me but because this happens so often I feel like I am being cheated on. At this point in time I do not have a sexual attraction to him because of the constant lying and sneaking around, not to mention the fact that he told me always thinks of others while he is in bed with me. I understand that men like variety but there is a point where it is disrespectful. I am 23, attractive and have a strong sex drive, why is the problem happening?

When I found out I was pregnant back in Dec. 2005, my husband was excited and told his family that we were going to have a baby. Then, his attitude changed. He stopped answering my calls when he was out, he started coming home late, he wouldnt answer any questions I had about his whereabouts and whatnot (he'd tell me that it wasn't my business, or to stay out of his business, or its his life, stop interfering-he got really mean!) He stopped spending time with me. He often ignored me. His lovemaking started to suck. He wasnt as interested in sex as he used to be. He started getting very secretive when recieving and making phone calls. He had new girls phone #'s that I wasnt familiar with. He had questionable texts on his cell phone-He kept me in the dark.On Saturday May 27, '06 he told me he was heading to work. I knew he DIDNT work that day so I knew he lied. I followed him and caught him with another woman.Since then, he's decided that he wants a paternity test! Why? IT IS HIS CHILD!

My boyfriend of 1 year travels a lot for work- he goes all over the world incl. Asia, Europe & Mexico. During the course we're together he's probably gone for 4 months total. We have a really great relationship: very compatible, great communication, great sex- I know we adore each other. 2 weeks ago I found evidence that he hooked up with this Asian girl during one of his trips to Asia in June. I was crushed and demanded answers- I wanted to know why he did it, and he insisted that it doesn't have anything to do with me. He said I'm the best g/f he's ever had, that I'm precious to him blablabla and that the reason he did it was b/c he was tempted and he slipped. He said he loves me and ask me to forgive him. He said he won't do it again b/c he can't bear the sight of hurting me again like he just did. When he saw me cry he cried with me too. He's a grown, responsible, intelectual, financially secure man in his early 30s, and while he is very affectionate to me I have never

I put up with my wife's internet addiction and lazy ways. She never cleans house or herself but yet I never yell at her about it. I usually call my best friend or clean house. I love my wife but hate who she has become. I am to the point of leaving her because all i ask of her is to clean house and take care of herself. How does this make me a jerk?

Based on experience it seems like women at later stages in their life are more responsive to the emotional needs of a dejected young man than are younger females. Specifically speaking about women assisting young males they're not in a relationship with.

This is a generalization, but it seems like younger women aren't so encouraging and sympathetic of young males that they don't find attractive. Mature women seem much more responsive and encouraging when faced with a young man in need of help.

Is this a misconception on my part?

I had a spine fusion last year and have been in pain and well medicated for about a year. This weekend I found a hotel bill and lingerie in a bag in the back of the closet. When I confronted her, she said she still loved me, but felt I didnt want her anymore. I never assumed the late nights she spent at work was an affair....

I still love her, we are trying to work it out, the affair lasted from Dec thru April according to her..... How do I forget what she's done and put the thoughts of her with someone else out of my mind.... How do you regain trust???

I want to forgive her and move on, but the pain in my heart is killing me.....

If you worked outside in the weather, and she had an office job, should men do less at home because of it, and less with the kids, because of the heat and pressure of a job.(by the way he's a welder). He feels because his job is more physically demanding,(mine is mentally demanding).. he shouldn't have to do 50% at least, when ALL i really ask is for him to Pick UP AFTER HIMSELF!
