Based on experience it seems like women at later stages in their life are more responsive to the emotional needs of a dejected young man than are younger females. Specifically speaking about women assisting young males they're not in a relationship with.

This is a generalization, but it seems like younger women aren't so encouraging and sympathetic of young males that they don't find attractive. Mature women seem much more responsive and encouraging when faced with a young man in need of help.

Is this a misconception on my part?

I believe the biggest difference is that older women know what they want in life. And younger women are still experiencing different things, trying to find out what they enjoy and what they don't.

I hate generalisations. But then, being young and in love does usually make a girl pretty self-centered. Maybe that's why. I think that i am pretty good at helping others (only 21) but with some of the guys out there, it's hard to know if they are going to try to make a move on me, so lately it's better for my marriage if i just step back. For older women, maybe it's easier to keep the objective, motherly (no offence, because that's just the way i feel when faced with someone in need of help) stand-point.

No, but it doesnt matter if youre female or male helping out someone younger of either sex, older people have the experience and knowledge to understand younger problems. This is why teenagers dont run the world nor are teachers in schools. Elders are more mature to handle emotional problems too

Older women(like me, lol) have learned that surface stuff like looks or muscles are short-lived, whereas most young ones are very SHALLOW about it. We often have sons, so we see that side, and we are just more sympathetic to bad feelings than younger women could ever be. This is called EXPERIENCE---and there is no substitute!

no there are somethings that even older women never had gotten or done or never even heard of , it does seem like young males love older women but us young girls like men that are sometimes a little older then us and it's just what they want some want younger and some older

An older woman no longer views women as a "threat" to themselfs and they no longer compair themselfs to women of thier own age. A younger woman, say one in her 20's, will compair herself with other women close to her age (like coworkers) and will obsess about it.
An older woman is more wise since she has gone through all this crap before and has grown out of it and has realized it doesnt really matter.

Because older women have lived longer, resolved more of their own problems, learned compassion through their own pain and the pain of loved ones. It all comes with growth and experience.

With age comes experience and knowledge. For myself, I am not afraid to ask or say anything. Nothing is embarrassing.
