Marriage & Divorce - 30 July 2006

I'm 22 now and several men have proposed me.Althogh I know they are OK but I can't think and decide about this matter seriously.I can't fix my mind about it and I feel I've not decide to marry yet.Is there any thing I shoud do or I shoud just wait till I feel ready for getting married??

Hello all, I am 24 and currently stationed in Iraq. I have been married for over a year and I have a serious problem. I have an almost uncontrolable crush with a female I work with who is single. My wife and I have a fairly good relationship. The female over here stationed with me is wonderful in my eyes. First thing I think of when I wake up, last thing before I sleep. I even have those weighed chest pains because I want to be with her so badly. My wife is good with money, going to college, loyal, and very giving. But, we are constantly annoyed with each other. Well, that's how I feel anyways because she's always letting me know how much I frustrate her vice/versa. We hardly ever have sex.......once every month or two. She drinks roughly 8 beers everynight. I have tried being romantic and I have tried to "fix" those things that she dislikes about me. It might work temporarily bu in the end I go back to my normal self. I feel very unfulfilled in my mariage. Advice?

Last week I had a hair appt I had been waiting 4ever. I was so excited b/c I had been so stressed out after having to quit my last job. I had a good day and after I got my hair and nails done, I was so so so excited, and everyone wanted to see the big difference. When I got home I ran in the room to show my husband but as usual he ignored me and asked for a massage. I said later please because my friend was coming over in about 5 minutes and I wanted to tidy the house. He starts this big *** arguement and starts calling me names (I know you can tell we have problems) saying I was a lazy *** and it killed my mood and hurt my feelings. I clean my house all the time, and cook and since I quit working I didn't mind, but it's like he wants me to be his slave now (first time not working in our relationship). So because I did not massage his back right away he would not give me money for a bill I had to pay and nagged me about it for two days.
I TRIED COMMUNICATION. I need a resolution.

I've always believed the husband shoud be at least 6 years older than the wife.But now s.one's proposed me that is at my age.Althogh he has other factors like good family and money ,I'm in doubt wether he is a right guy for me or not.If you were in me,would you turn an blind eye on this matter and accept his proposal??

I have been unhappy for some time with my husband but we moved away from my home to this little town, and now I hate it and it's hard to find good work. I recently quit working to go to school full time but shortly after I realized that was a hughe mistake. We don't share the same bank account so I have to ask for every dime I need and it's hard. He makes sure I see no paperwork so I snoop around looking for evidence just so I have an idea of awhat's going on. PLEASE DON'T SAY COMMUNICATE I HAVE DONE THIS OVER AND OVER. He is not very affectionate with me at all has never told me he loved me but once, and pretty much hates everything about me. I want to get out but don't know how and I am embarrassed because everyone seen it coming but me.
ANY ADVICE!!!!!!

I know so many people who are divorced and don't want to remarry. That scares me since I am hoping to get married, and have it last. What was the reason you got divorced? Can you imagine a situation in which you would be happily married?

It's like he hates being at home with me so bad that he went to work on his night off, to volunteer his services (for free). He has also been talking to women that he considers friends, on the phone, when I'm not around. He claims he talks to his ex (she's over 1000 miles away and they dated 6 years ago) because she calls and he doesn't want to hurt her feelings! But when I tell him leave my house (he's lived here for 2 years) he refuses to leave. I am so angry about his secret communication with women, rejection, and refusal to answer questions that I have resorted to cutting and destroying his personal belongings (because I can't seem to hurt him emotionally). He does take care of all of my expenses but I'm willing to give all of that up, for piece of mind and sanity. I ask him to leave several times a day! Why would a man that doesn't want to talk to me or be around me, refuse to leave? Serious replies only. Thank you.

I was talking with my wife the other day about disfigurements (we were watching a show about a guy who had his face torn off by a grizzly bear). I offhandedly asked her what she would do if I had some horrible disfiguring accident and you know what she said.
"I'd leave you."! Just like that!
She then realized that she said it and backpeddled like a .. uh .. something that backpeddles like CRAZY!
What does that mean!!!!????

My husband and I have been married for just over 3 years. We recently had a son (8.5 months old), and it is just getting really frustrating. We both work, and have a system set up that I get up with the baby Tue-Friday and he gets up Sunday and Monday. He is supposed to get up with the baby saturday, but its "too hard to get up so early," so I usually end up doing it. When he does wake up with him, he usually just lets him crawl around, crying, even though it's obvious that the baby is hungry or wants attention. I tried to explain to him many times what the baby's cries meant, but he doesnt even try any the 3 solutions to the problem (feed the baby, play with the baby, or the baby needs a nap....wow...so hard!).

Also, I am the only one who comes up with ideas to try to keep the spark alive in our marriage. I am the one suggesting we go out on dates, arranging childcare, etc. he doesnt even suggest these things anymore, All that matters to him are his video games and his TV. Not us.

And here in "oil rich" Alberta it would be like 800,000 to a million!
Why the big price difference?

My husband was a very different man when we first met. He helped around the house and treated me with respect.
Since we had 2 children one is 4 and the youngest is 2, he doesn't do anything, but make messes for me to clean up. I ask him to pick his stuff and to please put it away. He calls me a nag.
Today I so wanted to tell him that I didn't feel like a wife anymore..just a slave.
