Marriage & Divorce - 30 July 2006

My son's father says that we don't need to discuss anything about our child. Everything he needs to know he can find out from our son, who is 12, or from our son's teachers. But then I get in trouble with him for not telling him things and trying to shut him out of our son's life. We are both remarried now - for 5 years. I was hoping to work together and I respect his opinion about how to handle our son. Do I quit sticking my neck out? It is getting kind of old - the whole danged in you do, danged if you don't. His wife doesn't like him talking to me and doesn't treat our son very well when he is at their house. He pays only his child support and not a penny more. I try to be as nice as possible at all times. Let me know what you would do.

I am in the navy. At this time my wife and I live apart. Her in Michigan and I in Virginia. We have been serperated for about 6 months and was close to a divorce when she came to me wanting to work things out. This was about a month ago. Things have been going well. Thursday I was chatting with her and she said she felt I needed to slow down a little and I said that was fine, whatever she needed. That was that.
Friday, I called her to talk to the girls (two daughters) and she told me she was trying to spend some time with her mom (mothe in law) and not to call the rest of the night. I was cool with that too. Then Saturday morning I called her and no answer. Called again in an hour...no answer. Waited another hour, called...no answer. Then I got a txt msg..."STOP CALLING". So what do I do, I call here about 20 more times...no answer. Today, I call again...no answer....txt msg..."i told you i would talk to you Monday", called again...txt msg..."F...ing stop". Was I wrong?

She is 21. She goes to college and is a great student etc. etc. She was upset at me the other day because I visited my grandmother who has alzheimers and spent about 2 hours with her. I got back and her question to me was.." Do I do something that makes you want to not be here with me"? That was Friday PM. Saturday she goes out with her friends around 4:00 pm and stays out all night with them..she comes home around 10:00 am Sunday only to leave again at 11:30 am and its 9:30 pm and she says she will be home in a few hours. PS. she has to be at work at 6:00 am Monday morning. I am not stressed at the fact she is out. I am not stressed at the fact she has to go to work early in the AM.. (its her sleep she is depriving herself of). My question is.. when she questioned me about me not being here for those couple of hours I was with my grandmother.. should I not ask her the same thing??? or just forget it?

I was not aware that I would be going out of town and coming back to divorce paperwork. My wife has since told me that she hasn't loved me for almost a year now and is not willing to work things out, I'm totally lost and my heart feels crushed. is there something I can do to get past the pain that I am experiencing?

I been married for 7 years and at the beginning it was great. then all of a sudden he bacame verbaly abusive and aggressive. 2 years ago i found out he tried to cheat on me with some girl who was way younger and very trashy. I recently moved to CT from NYC and i met this guy who i worked with and we became friends i told him i was married and that i have 3 kids. i also told him how abusive my husband has gotten with me, and the more we talked the more we where connecting and for the past year and 3 months we been together and i dont know what to do? should work my marriage out or stay with my other significant?

Like if I dont ask her if she is cold and would like a blanket she lets me know later on that is was rude. Or if she buys me something and it it gets broken she acts as though I didnt care about it. She isnt nuts she is just such a handful!

Like tonight in just a little while my son has to call me to discuss taking a bath. He's 8 and decided it's more fun to run water and splash himself than getting into the tub and getting clean. She and I have had this half an hour discussion about the bathing, and, this is after spending his summertime visit with me where I thought the problem was fixed, but I think it is more a defiance issue. We never talked more than a few minutes on the phone until he was five. Now we talk all the time like good old friends. I thinks it's freaky. Is it normal after so many hateful things have been said in the past?

I am leaving my hubby b/c I don't trust him anymore and I have come to the conclusion that I never will. It has just been too much over the last 5 years. He is very angry now with me for leaving and says I haven't tried but I almost left 4 months ago but he begged me to stay but my feelings of disgust and hurt have not changed. I have lost so much of my dignity through it all and now he is trying to make me feel guilty for not trying "just one more time." How many chances do you give? I don't feel anything for him anymore. Am I so bad for not wanting to go to counseling AGAIN and working it out because everytime we work it out it always falls apart in a short amount of time?

I have tried almost on a daily basis to try and get my wife aroused early in the morning but nothing seems to work.. I have massaged her and kissed all over her but she doesnt respond or try to return any affection. She thinks its alright to wake me out of dead sleep and for me to respond but she doesnt show any interest when I do the same early in the morning. If your wife didn't want children? I'm 28 and have been married for nearly a year. My husband is 36. We both decided before we got married that whether we had children or not, it would be fine. He loves kids and is great with them, and his mom is in ICU dying right now of colon and liver cancer. I have a feeling he will come to me in a few months and ask if we can start a family. I am not ready for kids and still do not want them. Is this a bad thing? I know he would accept my answer of no, but should I want kids by now or does this come with time after a few years of marriage?

I dont know what to do . My wife has e-mailed this guy all the time and has said that she didnt want to go on the rest of her life wondering how her life would be if she was with him. She said that she new she was wrong and her heart kept making her write to him. I am crazy about her. I told her about it and she said that it was old and that she stopped. She said stuff on those e-mails that really hurt me. She is in Iraq and she said that it was just flirting. The person that she is e mailing has a wife and a kid. We all are in the army. i had already asked similar question but lets see if you can help me again.....3 weeks ago i confronted my husband about the few phone calls he had with his ex girlfriend from 4 years ago.he said that they didn't meet only talked .this all happened while i was away for a week with our baby...so i decided to believe him even thou i smelled girls parfume on his shirt while doing loundry....then found her home# on a napkin and he said he doesn't remember that he had it....doesn't like when i touch his phone and after all the talk we decided to move forward and work on our relationship but now he is saying he can't get it up....this never happened before...he is very nice to me..we talk on the phone often,we eat dinners at home watch movies.....and tells me i'm beatiful,sexy,smart.....but he can't get it up...should i really be worried and ask him more questions or should i be more patient and wait and see??he is embaressed to talk about it....what would you do?

I've been married for almost 3 years but it seems like our relationship is going down the drain and I don't know if I should try to fix it. We argue all the time over the same things, we complain that I don't clean enough(which is probably true) and my complains is that I'm tired of him dissapearing(not completely he is at his mom's all the time) for days(like 2-3) without bothering calling or anything.he keeps doing it even though he promessed me numerous times he won't do it anymore, he even promesses it to our daughter who told him she didn't want to miss him anymore. Then to top it all he spends money like we have extra, we are suppose to save money and he just spent the phone bill money on nothing and gets all mad when I tell him it was wrong and says it's his salary for cleaning.
He always has stupid ideas about businesses and it never works out and then he accuses me off being negative for not believing in it, how can I be positive when I know it's only gonna cost us money?HELP
