Marriage & Divorce - 30 July 2006

I'm strongly considering filing with child support to enforce my divorce judgment. My ex some months pays around a fifth of what he is supposed to pay, and some months nothing, yet he travels, has nice clothes, etc. etc. I worry that if I pursue this further, I will get more frustation and aggravation, since my ex is self-employed and very slippery, esp. when money is involved. Advice??

My brother is getting divorced from his wife of several years -- she left him, taking all their possessions with her, while he was at work one day and he came home to an empty apartment.

Subsequently, he has gone overseas and their divorce (and property settlement) is still pending.

Because the evil ex can't get in touch with him, she keeps harassing my parents, demanding that they give her her property (they kept some of their joint possessions in my parents' garage).

Can my parents get in trouble legally? It's not even their property to give to her, and my brother has as much right to the stuff as she does, particularly since she's already got most of their possessions with her.

Can my parents refuse to get involved?? If so, how?

First of all, you need to talk with your wife and see what she thinks will improve your mutual love life. I remember that when I was taking care of my newborns I stopped feeling womanly and started feeling “mom-ish”... and exhausted.
Perhaps what she needs is a reminder of your “courting days”. Nostalgia often seduces women.
You certainly need to find out her love language and fill up her “love tank”. Read the book “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman and put it to good use.
It is also likely that your wife is exhausted, like I was, and she may just need a helping hand. In that case, do lend a hand and then read, “Sex Begins in the Kitchen” By Dr. Kevin Leman.
These two books will change your world for the better...

There is a friend of mines whose about to get married soon with this guy that she's been with for more than seven years. The problem is that he has cheated on her many times during their relationship, but now they are about to get married. She is very much aware of this, but is going through with the wedding anyways. I realize that there is nothing that I can do to stop her and so I've been a supportive friend. But at the same time I don't want him to break her heart. Guys be honest is it possible for a cheater to remain faithful once married or is the odd against it? Is this marriage doomed to fail?

I just had a baby not even five months ago. It was a bad experience. I had an emergency c-section, the incision got infected, had to be partially opened, drained, and packed with gauze for 7 weeks.
This was baby number 5. On top of that I have PPD. My husband has been great throughout the whole ordeal. He even had a vasectomy a little over a week ago because he knows I'm afraid of getting pregnant again.
I feel really bad for him, it's been about 7 months since I've been interested.
How do I slowly get back into things? I don't want him to feel like I'm not attracted to him, I'm just not in the mood. I have no desire whatsoever to be intimate.
HELP.

been together 3 years have a 1 y/o son. he is mean to me like calls me bit ch , who re, skank etc. then he says he loves me, it really hurts.
i mean he is nice somedays but most days he is mean. also he smokes pot and its ruining his life and he wont stop and plus i hate it its nasty.
hes 29 and i think its time for him to grow up but he wont, he wont even look for a job

Shouldn't people who aren't gay just mind their business and let gay people do what they want? As a straight guy, I don't really have a strong opinion about it and don't see why so many straight people are so strongly opposed. Gay people getting married if they want to seems fair to me. I'm 19 yrs. old && have a 10 months ago baby gurl, && i think i am getting back my sex drive after 10 months with out it. But i feel a little shy when my partner && i r having sex. Her Dad and I never married but he pays court ordered support( he pays when he wants and how he wants so it is never the right amount) I am currently married to another man but that is soon to be history and I can't afford to live in that state anymore some friends are moving to another state and have offered to shelter me till I get back on my feet. We have no papers stating custody but the Support papers lists me as the custodial party and we have NO court ordered visits only support.

for a little over one year do i love him or is it just a fling. i think of him every day and night i pray that he is doing ok when i can't get a hold of him. when we get to talk on line we talk until he has to go to work or i have to go to school normal we talk for no less than 5 hours at a time. i wish i could see him every day but his job wont let me so i live with it. he is older than me and if my mom found out how much i would not be allowed to see him. he doesn't know that i havent' told them his true age. but he wont' stand for it.. he tells me if they say something he will just tell them that he has fallin for me. and won't let me go. please help

Especially in our home town. She has even gone as far as going to the government. I have known him for 12 years and she is just an acquaintance. He has been divorced from her for 3 years. We got maried in June of 06. We started talking in January. She has even told her kids that I am a bimbo and all kinds of other things. I have done nothing to this woman and she still talks negetively about me and him. Especially to their children. I need some advice about how to deal with this without stooping to her level.
