Well,you've met this nice guy just once yet,so its more of high level infatuation at the moment,and he being your cousin's friend,that could be the most probable reason of him being extra good and caring towards you.
Look that possibility of his extra attention towards you shouldn't be overlooked after all,he is your cousin's best friend.
Give your attraction some time,Don't call him up right away,it'll show your over desperateness.I would suggest,just get opportunity to learn about him better and in a n unbiased way before jumping towards dating him or making him your boy-friend.
Go slow,but definitely DON'T make your cousin a "middle-man"in this.
