I'm on my third. The first one was to a young woman from another congregation that was short on young men, whereas we had too many. The marriage lasted six years with two daughters and one bankruptcy. She loved to spend money, usually writing checks two days before my pay check was deposited.

My second wife I met two years later, as a truck driver. I met her again two months later, than a week after that I was injured in a severe semi accident. She moved from her small town of Aberdeen (WA) to Sacramento (CA), to help me recover. She had never spent any significant time away from home, didn't drive a car, and had never held a full time job. We got married a month later. That lasted 13 years, when I became a workaholic in my work with divorced and single father. so she found someone with more time for her. We still talk and she has the power of attorney on me should I become incapacitate, again.

I'm on my third marriage, but we are not living together. She didn't tell me that she had Bipolar disease, and I had to have her committed after she attacked me with hot coffee. She is now living with someone else, in another state, but calls me for money, saying that because we are still married, I should support her, even though I fought to get her on Social Security Disability. She was the one who fought it because she was turned down the first time, and the disease made her think that once means always.

1st time married, lasted less than 12 hours--his dad had it annulled.

2nd time married, lasted over 17 years, worst time of my life, he was very abusive--mentally, physically and sexually.VERY CONTROLLING. Finally had the chance to get out of it, ran like H***.

Haven't been married since.
