Marriage & Divorce - 25 July 2006

Ive written on here a couple of times and thanks to everyone...i was married almost 5 years...my husband left me and went back to his country...he said "everything will be okay" but ended up divorcing me and not calling me for 5 months. Then...out of the blue he starts emailing me a lot and telling his best friend he made a big mistake. I called him one time and he answered his phone...i called him during the previous 6 month period sometimes one hundred times and he never answered. Anyway...i then changed my number after that bc i realized he was the same and not coming back. We then ended up talking last week...he said that he thinks about me every minute and looks at my pictures and misses our marriage and i am the first and last girl he will ever be with...i said "come back" he said no bc of his family...anway...i ended up giving him my new number...he said he wouldnt call it unless he really needed to...i told him i was going to california with friends...he then started...

My wife, who I love more deeply than I can express, has this really frustrating trait. She will get an idea in her head that is simply wrong. She will react to situations as if this idea were true. This causes me to give the WTF response. She tells me what she was thinking, I explain to her that things just are not that way, and she and I agree that it was just a misunderstanding. All is well. For a day or two. She then begins to react as if her idea was true again.
In the way of a vague example:
She will become convinced that I did (X) because I think that she is (Y). I explain to her that I did (X) because of (Z), and, not only that, but I have never thought (Y) of her. We agree. All is said and done until two days later when she has a fit over some situation that vaguely resembles (X). I will ask her what wrong and she will say that she hates that I think (Y) of her.
Is this norma?

I think it should be 50/50 we have 6 CHILDREN ! and he doesnt want to go 50/50 , just because his job is more physical than mine we both made these kids and i think we both should divide it equally. I have a 7yr.6yr.5yr.4yr.3yr.2yr.old kids and they can only help in the cleaning if it is not to hard ....help!

my husband of 10 years is divorcing me and he has already served me and weve only been separated 4 months. I did some bad things to him,it was the first time i ever caused problems for us, and for the past 6 years he has put me through hell and yet i always knew we would be together 4 ever and i forgave him for anything he ever did,over and over and he pulled some shady **** and you name it, he did it, so why one screw up from me and he has no plans to forgive me he is mean and he hates me and i am trippin. how could he not love me all a sudden and our 2 girls one 9 one is 1, they need their mom and dad, we are a family. how can i get him to see that i am sorry and i know i messed up cant we work on it and how can i get him to see the girl he fell in love with and reconsider divorcing me yet?

Today we talked on the phone for a couple minutes and I said "you sound busy so I'll let you go." He totally switched to nasty and started said "I'll let you know if I'm busy sh*t for brains..." and then he started yelling at me saying the f word a lot and calling me an f-ing moron twice... We have been together almost a year. Sometimes he goes off for no reason. I wasn't trying to be snotty, I really thought he was busy. Then he is saying MY actions are ruining the relationship and yells at/lectures me for twenty minutes just to stay on the phone. I don't get it I love him but I don't know if I'll ever be good enough or do the right things for him.

We have a 6mnth baby and things have not been well between us. I am undecided as to move back to NZ or just take an extended break, either way we want to stay together as he will move back in 2 years. I found lipgloss this morning in the car it is not mine. he no longer sleeps with me claiming he is too tired. He also has footy training Tues and thurs and oz tag weds. Today he booked my flights home and then told me he has a friend coming to look at the spare room cause he wants to move in. We haven't even decided wether the baby and I will stay on in NZ yet but it feels like he is making the decision for me. Please any help would be much appreciated

Is it to cement the committment for LIFE ? 30 year mortgages in pricey suburbs, new loaded family SUVs and massive credit card bills will have you in debt till your old and gray. But the women really pressure for these things so whats a guy going to do ?

if divorce is seen as a judgment . . . i know this may be seem stupid but . . . does it affect one's credit rating the same as a default in payment of a loan. you know what i mean right? i.e. does divorce adversely affect your credit??

In marriage we take vows for better or worse till death do us part .. does that only work if we both beleive in it ? I feel im in a very onesided marriage and find myself wanting a divorce for various reasons .. he dont respect me as a person and he has cheated in the past ect .. I beleive in better or worse but he dont i sacrifice alot he dont .. should i turn my back on my vows >> i mean he has so why should i try so hard to live up to them ? why should i try so hard to keep this man if he dont try in return ?

He and I both are married I just want to be friends. The sparks are not there for me. At first yes but now no. He is younger then me and acts a little childish for me he is in his 20s and me in my early 30s. He tells me he has a open relationship with his wife and would like to continue this with me but i am not up for this i am afarid if i just say no we cant be friends and work together anymore. I dont now what to do. I know i should have never done this but i did. I have been brushing him off but i dont think he gets the hint he still kissed me and asked me to meet him somewhere. I need to leave but I have 7 children and no job or money of my own.
I can't take it anymore. 21 yrs of this. Tonight he smashed and crashed through the house because the icemaker didn't work.
He scares me.
Now my 3 boys have terrible tempers. My oldest (19) threw a cup of water across the kitchen because we were out of something he wanted.
Today my youngest (5) slammed down a bowl because he got mad at me. This is new behaviors for both of them! They have tempers like their dad, but haven't thrown anything or slammed stuff.

I need to leave before it's too late.
Their father has NEVER harmed any of us physically but inside he is killing us all.

How do I leave? I have no job, no house for 7 kids.
I would love to be able to make him leave but I don't know how to.
Please help me.

he is still married..lol yeah crazy right.. his g/f Thinks that he is going to get a divorce in what 4 months.. they are supposed to get married November 9th or the 11th.. how the heck can i tell her in a nice way.. because i like this one..that there is no way that they are going to get married in 4 months without a divorce and without having the dress the hall or anything paid!!! I do not want to go pay for a dress that i am never going to use! the money has to be down as of yesterday.. and i been staling and trying everything to not waste anymore money.. I tried talking to my dad but that's a loss cause because he just says don't worry about it.. i know that he is just pulling her along so she shuts up about getting married.. i know i am going to hurt her feelings when i tell her i am not going to waste my money or my husbands money on a wedding that is not going to go off... whats the best way to tell her nicely?

I have tryed everything i can think of. I have "tryed new things" I have tryed to talk with him. and i have "looked for tale tale signs that hes getting it else ware I have found none. we have sex on Saturday nights. when we have sex. everytime. I have tryed spicing things up by asking for it other nights to no avail. Saturday is the only night he has that he dont have to get up and go to work the next day. so i can see why its easyer for him to wait until then for it but i would really like to have sex more often than one 30 min interlude on saturday. what can i do?

Let me start out with.. my brother takes off 2 3 times a week.. now just yesterday i was over at his house.. he came down stairs and was laughing his butt off.. said to me that he told his wife that he was just with another woman that morning and she sucked his bird and asked her how did that bitc. taste! When she came down i asked her about it.. she said yeah and started crying.. but then not even 10 minites later she said oh i forgave him.. and then whyle i was there he called his g/f 3 times telling her how much he loves her so i told her.. she threw a fit and then oh baby i forgive you.. Please don't leave me.. oh go out... i know you will be home thursday because i get paid.. here is money go have fun.. he comes home hours later drunk and all coked up and told her about the women he was with.. she just looked at him. and said its ok.... WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH HER!
if my husband did anything like that i would kill him.. i know why he does it.. BECAUSE HE GETS AWAY WITH IT!!

I am married to a beautiful lady. We have two daughters 4 and 2. For the last couple of weeks I have to ask for her to kiss me. Going to the store, going to bed at night basically anytime a wife should want to kiss her husband. She runs a daycare out of our home all day , then when I get home it is like she expects me to take over for all the kids so she can get on the computer. Most of the time she is doing homework for her masters in counseling. Aboput 1/3 of the time she is looking up trivial information. Anytime I ask her about why she doesn't seem to want to make anytime for me she gets mad and turns it around om me. She makes it seem like am insensitive that she doesn't get time for herself. All I want is a little affection to make me feel like she still loves me. Am I wrong for feeling this way? Anyone with honest info I need some suggetions.

I am divorcing my husband of 5 years. He has some type of psycological problem that we had sexless marriage for 5 years. He was also financially irresponsible and not nice to my family. He was a very selfish person. Yet, we did have good times and we did have connection. However, I can see I was emotionally abused. I have no self esteem now. Now, he is begging me, making changes to make me stay. My family is fed up with him that he wasn't treating me right and talking bad about him to me all the time. At my mental state right now, it feels they are putting me down. Because I choose him to marry and stayed with him for 5 years. I agree with my family in alot of things. But they don't understand we had good times and I tried to keep my marriage. It feels they are taking their anger towards him out on me. Would they feel ok if it was their marriage?
