Family - November 2007

My sister can be extremly greedy. I am usually spoiling her. I always make her like cookies when her friends come over, and pumpkin bread when she asks. I am also considerate to her company and bussiness. I even do her wash sometimes. Yet today she told her sister that they could watch my DVD tonight without my permission. I was planning on watching tonight, so i told her no, im watching it. My parents were like let her borrow it, you just saw it. She saw it too in hte movies so i see no reason to give it to her. She is spoiled enough with my giving in and friendliness and quite frankly i get none of that in return. Do you think i am being over exagerent or doing the right thing. It is my movie so it is my decission and if i say no she needs to except it right?

For those of you that read my other question, this one is kind of in the same ballpark. Originally, my issue was whether or not I should leave my parents' house in FL & move to NY on my own. I have since decided to go back to NY & finally got an interview set up for next week. I had told them a few weeks ago that I was going to begin looking for jobs in NY & then today I broke the news about the interview to them. My mom took it fairly well, but my father flipped out. I understand he's upset that I'm growing up & moving on with my life, but in my opinion he crossed the line. He came into my room telling me that he hates my b/f (a guy that he loved before this point) & told me that I allow my b/f to walk all over me & that my b/f doesn't love me. My father is under the impression that I'm moving for my b/f & not for myself, but this is not the case. I'm confused now b/c my father is unhappy & I can't even be happy about my decision to move. Can I please just get some feeback on this?

OK, I'm not exactily a nudist because I don't live in a colony, but I don't like to wear clothes at home. I feel like one of those dogs forced to wear a sweater.

I only like to wear clothes outside the house and when we have company. I wouldn't care to be naked with company over but they would get unconfortable.

I don't care if my mom, dad, and brother see me at all. But my dad told me that he doesn't want me being naked outside of my room anymore.

Any thoughts?

They don't want me to arrive home after midnight and when I do, they try to punish me (locking me out of the house, threatening to stop supporting me with school, etc.) I'm completely sober and they know this, but they just refuse to allow me to grow.

my girlsgrandmother took over custody of our daughter while i was going through some legaal troubles but now she wants to adopt her... her reasoning is because she wants her to be near family but i know that to be false she underminded me being the father before my daughter was born and shes sick in the head i mean i now have a son also and a comment she made was that it loked like her son...?he's white shes not blood to me or her daughter i just felt it was her trying to attach herself to my family...what do you think

step mom thats kinda... around 40.
dad around 40.
step sister around 20 something.
my brother's friend thats 16.

Im 13 and turning 14 and i have about 300 dollars. I do this every year. I also have to have about some money to buy clothes for the winter and i shop at hollister and abercombie and fitch also aeropostale and i have to buy boots. I don't know what i should get for the people above and for myself. I don't exspect anyone to buy me anything but if i don't buy anything then i feel like i let everyone down. I also work as a nail person and all the people above are asian if that helps. I need something thats not to much money. But also cool to and not like those action figures and stuff. Something that they'll play for a long time and for others something that they'll uses for a long time and love.

SERIOUSLY immature! No joke! He's not retarded or anything (but I think he is "retarded") not actual retardation. cuz i mean if he really was then i wouldnt be writing this but anyway, yeah, like he laughs like "he he he he he he he he he he he he he" sometimes really high pitched. and other times he-- he's just a stupid ******!! okay?!

and I'm 14 and he should not be living w/his mommy anymore.

Her husband is in Hawaii and she wants to spend christmas with him. And also stay 6 months with him. They are 3 going on that trip. I was just suggesting that it would be cheaper for them if he be the one to come home and spend just one ticket. Then after Christmas they can all go. Incidentally they are building a house and we are helping them out. They are also leaving their house while it is ongoing construction. the problem is that I am sick and cannot be the caretaker of their big house.

I am a 34 year old mother of 4 and I work 50 hours a week, I go to school which with study time is about 10 hours a week, I cook and clean and make sure everyones needs are met, but yet, on Saturday and Sunday while everyone else sleeps in and watches the football games I am busting my butt to make sure the house is clean and their is food in the house. No one helps me unless I throw a fit. Any ideas on how to motivate my family to help me and make them stop thinking of me as super woman?

Ok my nickname is Rana and i recently moved in next door 2 my so called aunt and boy since then its been noting but DRAMA..... i have a cousin Shyla she is 13 and her lil bro skyler, age 2. we heard they were getting evicted so we went to their house to help. and we were takin care of them 4 a couple days. her grama [my aunt] didnt like that so she had a coronary! long story short now they r at her house and she is acting like a 2 year old she is 65 years old, she calls me and my mom a b*tch and everything else so i called her an old hag, she keeps harrasing us should i get a restraining order against her or what?! she has been stressing us out and its driving us crazy i wanna hit her upside her head and knock some sence into her! please give me some advice!

I am a 16 year old girl and I am having a very difficult time living at home. I feel that im always ignored by my parents and that they treat me unfairly. I have an older brother and two younger sisters that also live in the house. My parents complain about me staying in my room all the time but whenever i come out and try to talk to the about something, they dont listen and look at me like im "retarded". I feel like im going insane. I have killer stress headaches all the time. I dont feel like im wanted there and that makes me want to move out even more. I just dont know what to do. I've had many thoughts of self-harm and suicide and i dont really want to do that but I cant stand living anymore. Somebody please help, any advice is appreciated!

My sister stresses me out 24/7.. I don't know what to do about her. I told my dad and mom about it but they don't even do much because I know they like my sister more than me already. She never listens to anything I say and is very spoiled. I don't want to be so stressed all the time but her goal in life is to stress me death and kill me or something. I don't even know what's wrong with her.. All day (literally) I look for a job, but for whatever reason (maybe the time of year??) I can't score anything even with some experience! Anyway, with Christmas now at my doorstep along with everything else, I have come to realize that I will not have even one present for my kids this year. But I would really like to plan something for them, but I want it to be unique and very special. They are truly wonderful children. Any ideas for something I could plan with them on this Christmas day? I will be grateful for ANY ideas you may have! Thank you!

My new boyfriend is upset that my son and I wrestle. My son and I can get pretty rough but he has two boys and I figured that was a guy thing!
He is pretty upset about the fact that my son wrestles me and sometimes hits me (just playing though).
He also thinks that he should be able to disipline any child under his roof...ie; spanking........

My mom is elderly. I still do suffer greatly from all the family abuses--they threw me away, they don't care if I'm dead or alive for decades now. My family is in abject denial--they transmit all their "good news", never acknowledging horrible abuses--I wished for a family but I was the throw-away. I cannot bear to weather the final blow which will be to omit me from any inheritance justified by fake-self-righteousness; in short my mom is crazy to perpetrate and condone such abuses, she just "didn't like (me)"--as if that's OK, she took away my foundation of self-respect. I can either do something or nothing, if only to shatter their comfort that I am defeated--for what they did some should be in jail. Do I just have to cope with their final gloat?

Don't think I'm emo or anything but I was crying last night. My mom was thowing a HUGE fit. She was messing up the house and throwing stuff at my dad and she looked like she was gonna kill him. She was crying a little and tellign my dad about soem stuff from the past. I wasn't born yet. She was telling him how he alwasy left me at home at night wen my mom was at work the whole day. He goes to foxwoods. And how he promised not to drink beer ever again but he's drinking more now. But my dad has some really really good points too. Like more good ones than bad. but...he promised ALOT of things to my mom and has been lying to her for years. My mom is like tearing apart. She doenst do drugs or alchohal so it drives her nuts bout my dad. He doesnt smoke tho. My mom was hitting my dad like crazy. I was scared and felt so lost. my mom asks my every year about moving way from him. i always say no and she always accepts my answer.but i feel like im killin her cuz of my choice. she begs me. help??

My hubby got mad for me not paying attention to him since Thanksgiving(that's what he said). We had full home from relatives that where home to spend Thanksgiving & a weeding. But still we were fine or that's what I thougth we even went to the movies alone on Friday. BUt on Sat. we were just arriving at the weeding and he got mad & offended me. We left the party and had a big discusison. Igot really mad because he knew I wanted to be at the weeding cuz most of the family was going to be there & most of them I didn't see them since 2 or 3 yrs ago. I couln't go back alone to the party because he hid the keys so we stay howm. And the rest of the weekend was ruined. I am still ready mad cuz I really wanted to be there.But t because of him we couldn't be..NOW he is sorry & wants to make it up.. the problem is ,time can't go back and I don't know for how long I will be mad. I can forgive but can't forget.. What to do? I feel sad and mad too! Should I just let it go like that & forget it?

he lives with myself and my partner. he has very mild dyspraxia and now he has gone through puberty he has improved a lot, but he is ver imature.
he is now 16 and left school, and is at college doingengineering. he seems very keen to do well after scraping by at school and hating most days there.
he is driving me mad though as he just takes things and does with them what he likes despite 9our repeated requests that he doesnt. when i say take i mean for ex, he decided to turn our shed into a den for him and mates, while we were at work. he carried my partners telly down there, god he could hve dropped it and has also dragged seats down there from the house that dont belong to us. ive asked him not to have his mates inthe house while im at work (i work full time andpartner does too) but he just carries on inviting them in. shud i expect him not to have friends around. i have tol him i dont mind when im there. he used to leave dishes around but he is learning to tidy them away

i have a lil problem and idk what to do

my husband talks to this friend of his and they are pretty good friends but i dont like her and she dont like me for certain reasons...i told my husband about how i felt and im sure she has done the same about me but my problem is he spends all his time talking to her and he also hides there conversation from me and when i ask what they are talking about its always nothing so i let it go....but everytime im on the computer talking he right over my shoulder reading everything i say and when i tell him to stop he says im talking about him and gets very upset and im not and btw the only people i talk online is to my 2 sisters...idk how i should feel...i dont like this girl...she talks about me behind my back and ot my husbands face and he dosnt do anything and its starting to hurt my feeling and he knows it 2...any advice

My mom forces my sister and me to be vegetarians and she makes us go to YOGA classes and my sister is only 9 years old and I'm 15! She wont let me be friends with this one girl cause her parent's drive a Hummer.... I am currently living in Kentucky, but in June of 2008 I will be moving to St. Charles, Missouri to go to college. I will be staying there at my friends house for $80.00 a month (includes food and everything else) My parents are paying for my college tuition, but I have to pay for the cost of moving there, a car to drive there, car insurance, gas, etc. the problem is, i currently have no money. I have a job where I make, and can save $250.00 a month. As of right this minute, if i save every cent of that I'll have $1,500.00. It will cost me $500.00 just to move there, plus the first months rent. I'll be left with $920.00 and theres no way I will be able to buy a car with that amount of money. Is there anywhere I can get help with money? Are there scholarships out there that can be used for a vehicle. I'll have to have one to get to colege and a job. Please help me out because my parents wont help me with this.
