Consider yourself blessed. Maybe your mother has many rules, but some kids have parents who are abusive or drug addicts. Be happy you have a mother who at least cares about what you are doing. It could be much, much, worse.

You are going to have to sit your mom down and let her know how you feel. I don't subscribe to your mother's beliefs, but I know many people do. Don't tell your mom that she is a "tree hugging hippie" or anything like that, but tell her that you are 15 now and should be able to make a few decisions of your own. Especially what you can and cannot eat and who your friends are going to be regardless of what they drive. Good luck.

Why don't you try telling her that by her being so fanatical about protecting the environment, she is turning you against that belief and not for it. She can't force you to believe what she believes. She can guide you and try to influence you but she should also be open to your own beliefs. I would try to convince her that her fanaticism causes people to think she is "crazy" and dont' take her seriously. Of course, you should try to talk to her about this when you are calm and not upset at her.

Your Mom should see the bigger picture and that is how you and your sister feel. It's one thing to care about the environment and another to put it in front of your family. I guess this is her way of making youo become responsible adults but she is being extreme.

Shut up, quit acting like a spoiled brat and appreciate that you have a mom that cares about you and the environment.
