OK, I'm not exactily a nudist because I don't live in a colony, but I don't like to wear clothes at home. I feel like one of those dogs forced to wear a sweater.
I only like to wear clothes outside the house and when we have company. I wouldn't care to be naked with company over but they would get unconfortable.
I don't care if my mom, dad, and brother see me at all. But my dad told me that he doesn't want me being naked outside of my room anymore.
Any thoughts?

Would it bother any of you really if your daughter wanted to be naked at home?

Look people, I don't go around naked for a sexual thing. I enjoy the way my skin feels with nothing on.
I don't care if my family was all naked to. I've seen their parts before and I don't think anyone should be ashamed.
Clothes just make me feel silly. I read about nudists who feel the same way.

I really hate to say one thing and allow another or to make one set of rules for the guys and another for the gals, but... I think your father has a point, a young woman walking naked is likely to arouse the attention of even a brother or dad, possibly leading to more, maybe dads had a passing thought or noticed your brothers interest and is putting a stop to it before it begins. Remember, gals are always the pray and guys the preditors, maybe. With that said, I'm a mom and I often see my teenage boys naked and none of us is uncomfortable about it. Double standards, maybe.

You have my sympathies. As you can see from some of the other responses, there's nothing quite like the thought of a naked teenager to scare the bejeezus out of a self-righteous adult. If I were in your shoes, I'd stay in my room as much as possible, but that's just me.
Hang in there--I know it seems like forever, but when you get older with your own place, you'll have the rest of your life to do as you wish. Your attitude toward your body is healthy and admirable. And the line about the dogs forced to wear a sweater cracked me up.
By the way, nudists don't live in "colonies"--they're usually called clubs, and some have permanent living spaces, while others don't.

You sounds like a nudist at heart.
Many people feel the way you do.
Here is the problem. Americans often look at a naked body as something sexual. So if they are looking at their sister or daughter it gives them a strange feeling. They are not sexually attracted to you but they are automaticly repulsed. This is a biological reaction to prevent incest.
However, in Europe, many people overcome this because the naked body isn't seen as the sexual thing that the Americans see it as. Many Europeans don't wear clothes in their homes and a naked body isn't shameful to them because they have grown up with it.
I'm guessing you didn't like to wear things as a kid. But at 14 you are going through changes like growing breasts and pubic hair. And watching your body change that closely will often make the family VERY unconfortable.
It's not really their fault that they have these reactions.
Now, what you should do:
They are your family and you should compramise.
Try to wear things when they are around and I recomend that you talk to the family about everyone visiting to a nudist resort. The people they will meet also see the body like you do not as a sex object. They won't have to be naked if they don't want to, they can just wear a long shirt until they are confortable with nothing. There are many resorts out there and you need to select a family one. I know there are many in Flordia. In some places, there are even teen nudist summer camps!
That will be a tough pill for them to swallow but I think you should suggest it. They might not like the idea of strangers your body or theirs. I have included a link to the american assosation of nude recration.
Best Wishes.
Edit:
I think you have a healther view of the human body than most people your age and in America. It's good to think of the human body as natural and not a sex object.

Good for you! I totally understand your desire to be naked...not for sex, but for comfort and convenience. Unfortunately, since you live with your parents and are still a minor, you are under their authority. The best you can do at this point, until you turn 18, is be clothed around your family, and naked when you are alone in your room. I know it's not much of a deal right now, but its really the only option you have.
BTW, I would love to have a daughter that embraced nudism like you do. I am so lucky that my two sons embrace it, as does my wife. I guess you could come live with us! LOL

Hello??
You are a young lady coming into your womanhood AND your dad & brother are men! You are exposing your most private areas & thats not OK. It is probably very uncomfortable for you to be naked in front of them even if you think its no big deal.. Its inappropriate!
Would you be OK with it if your dad walked around the house naked? What if you found out that seeing you turned him on or your brother on?? EEWWWW!!
You should at least throw on some sweats, shorts & a light t-shirt when hanging out at home.
When you are old enough to get your own place then you can do whatever you want, including being naked all the time.

Here are my thoughts! You are not an adult! You do not pay the mortgage or rent! You do not make the rules! Your parents have a God given right to correct you, discipline you and order you to act decent and put on some clothes! You are under obligation to obey your father and mother. If you have no respect for decent conduct and the feelings of your brother and father, than SHAME on you! You would not be allowed to do this in my home either! I think your father is right! Maybe you need stronger correction to get the point?
You would not be going anywhere or doing anything if you insisted on acting in such a shameless way! Where in the world would you get such an idea that it was OK for a 14 year old girl to run around naked? You needed someone like my little southern granny! She would have given you a whole new outlook on things! Your dad is right! Obey him!

This isnt really about if you care or not, it obviously makes your family uncomfortable... so i'd be the mature and polite thing to do and respect their request. Why not walk around your ROOM naked, and wear a rob around the house so not to offend.
At a certain age, its just not appropriate for a women to be nude out in the open. Men arent comfortable with female nudity, especially when its related to them.

You should do as your father asks. It doesn't matter if we would mind seeing you naked or our sisters. What matters is how your father feels about it. You share a home with 3 other people and you seem concerned only with what YOU want and what YOU feel. So you aren't a nudist......you aren't very considerate either if you force this issue.

I understand the clothes part I love my night shirt and undies BUT you should have enough respect for yourself and parents to wear something when you get older and have a home of your own you can be nude all the time. I defanitly would not want to see my daughter run around naked all the time at any age. She will be 2 in a couple weeks.
The human body is beautiful but its meant to be covered.
Just imagine the things you sit on and what can be transferred back and forth.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you'll have to wait a few years until you can get your own place. You can probably get away with it some when you're home alone, but for the sake of the family you should listen to your parents.
I had to deal with the same issue, though I figured my parents wouldn't go for it, so I didn't go nude in front of them.
