Is this 5 days a week? And does your mom have a lot of money? When is their bedtime? When they are sleeping you should get less since you are just there in case of emergencies. If your mom does not have a lot of money, be reasonable. You are 14 and don't need a lot of money, so if she can't afford to pay you a lot, be sympathetic to the situation. Otherwise, if she makes a lot of money (most people who work 2nd shift don't, unless they are a nurse or doctor) then I would say 150-200/week. As for May May, I babysat my little sister from 3pm-3am six days a week from age 9 to age 11, when it went to 630am to 4pm for summers 5 days a week. I did not get paid anythin and I am not disappointed at all; it makes me a much more responsible person today.

Well, it sounds like you are family, supposed to help each other out. Why are you watching all the kids? Can your parents not afford a baby sitter? If that is true, don't you think it might be a bit much to put that added stress on your mom to ask for pay? If your family can afford it, then you need to talk to your mom about at least having one in some, so that you can have a little less responsibility.

I am guessing you do this 5 days a week. You should probably get paid $6 an hour. You work 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. You would get paid $210 for the whole week. This seems like too much though. Is your mom paying you? If she is, then the hourly wage would probably be lower.

If you were babysitting kids that weren't your siblings you would probably charge anywhere from $3-7/hour. The cleaning I would say an extra $10-20 per week.

When I babysat (about 10 years ago), I charged $2.50/hour/child. I didn't do any housework, and inflation has kicked in big time since then. I lived in a small rural area, so this price at that time in that area was fair.
If I was you, I'd ask my friends what they charge people when they babysit and do something comparable. You should be fair to your family, but also fair to yourself. What you do is work, and you should be paid accordingly. Otherwise, there will be hard feelings.

To be honest with you it's great that you help your mom out, however you are a teen and should be able to live your life as one, therfore if you are doing this 5 days a week you should be paid at least $75 a week. If you weren't doing this for her and she had to hire someone she would pay much more than that. If you chose to be kind because you are her daughter afterall you can take less.

It depends what your Mom makes. If your family is loaded with cash, then ask for $5-6/hr. If your Mom is working nights to pay the bills and keep a roof over your head, don't be selfish. Help your Mom out and be proud of her - your payment is the food you eat and the clothes on your back.

My opinion would be at minimum $20 a week. Otherwise if you're babysitting non-related children, I would charge $5 an hour
