okay. so my grandpa is old. and my mom wants him to move in with us. so next week hes moving in. he needs A LOT of care and im really NOT close to him at all. even when he visits its hard to take care of him. im a teenager and i have alot of friends that mean alot to me and i dont want to loose them by having my time taken up by him moving in. i cant tell my mom because she will FLIP out on me and tell me im being selfish. i feel bad but im really not ready to baby sit a 86 year old guy i dont know. what should i do!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I have been with my boyfriend for the last two years. We live together. We're talking about marriage, children, etc. His mother and father treat me like I'm already part of their family. I'm expected to come to theirs for Christmas, I get phone calls from them on my birthday. I get the feeling that they are really looking forward to grandchildren. So all a happy family, right? Wrong, my boyfriend's sister doesn't want me around. I have been told by my boyfriend that she really has never liked any of his past girlfriends and actually, I'm about the only girlfriend of his that she is cordial to. This weekend is Mother's Day (UK). My boyfriend decided to go visit his mum. I thought I should come because well I wanted to show his mum some appreciation and support. But his sister got annoyed and asked him "Why can't this just be a family weekend?" He didn't know what to do. So I saved him and said I wouldn't come. Now, I feel resentful. How should I deal with her in the future?

I decided I don't want my late father's money from his estate, I will just sign the check and give it to my daugther. I have always been independant from my family also, there has been spoiled brats in the family. This is what I am most comfortable with at this time.

I have some tough issues to deal with rights now, Dad dragged us to through a life of alcohol and a rough one. I have to find in heart to forgive and move on. I need to be a peace with myself right now. Please send me your prayers. I will be seeing a Counsellor. Any advice??

WE HELPED HIM SO MANY TIMES HE HAS ROBBED US CAME IN RAN OUT WITH MOM'S POCKETBOOK NOW HE JUST GOT OUT OF JAIL AGAIN CAME TO MY MOM FIRST DAY OUT HE WAS DRINKING AND SHE TOLD HIM HE COULDN'T STAY THERE SHE IS 70 YEARS OLD I TOLD HIM DRINKING WAS THE WRONG WAY TO GO HE SAID NO I'M ONLY GOING TO DRINK NO CRACK.. WELL MY MOM LET HIM IN THE NEXT DAY AND AND THAT'S WHEN HE SAID IF YOU WEREN'T MY MOM I WOULD KILL YOU . I SAID I THINK IT'S TIME TO GO. YOU CAN GO TO A HALFWAY HOUSE AND GET A JOB AND A PLACE AND SHOW YOU CAN CHANGE DRINKING SHOWS ME NO CHANGE. for families in america to have balance these days? it just seems so impossible to have a nice balance with family, work, school, friends and the list goes on. especially in america where the middle class dont work from 9-5. now we work when our spouse doesnt have to work. conflicting schedules and high cost of living i guess is part of it. how do we balance this out without comprimising our relationships and careers?

I want to know if the Chinese family surname, for example Lee, and let's say i see another Chinese family that i dont know, with the same surname, Lee.

Are they related somehow? because you do know that we have to follow our family name and they could be related somehow a long long time ago and didnt know it.

I have always missed her, but lately, more than ever. I don't understand why. I think about her all of the time and it has been YEARS since she has passed. Why is it hurting all of a sudden? My father is married to a WONDERFUL woman that I helped him meet, I LOVE her! She has been so good to me! But all of a sudden I want my Mom, I want to know her, but she's gone. Why did this not effect me before now?

I have a 14 year old sister that thinks she knows everything. Every Friday she goes to the Mall with her friends and comes back late at night. Sometimes my mom yells at her and sometimes she doesn't care. My sister is also addicted to Myspace. School Nights she uses it until 12:00am and weekends she could use it until 6:00am. When I tell her to get off she just ignores me. My mom punishes her sometimes but she doesn't listen. She cares more about her friends than her own family. We constantly fight and sometimes I don't know why. I try to talk to her but she doesn't listen. And when she gets me angry I yell. Sometimes I feel like I'm A bad brother. I feel that if she died today I wouldn't care. I also feel that if things get worst then later in the future we may never talk to each other again. What should I do before things get out of hand?

My mother was the most abusive person in my life, she constantly put me down when i was a kid, slapping and hitting was a daily routine, i've moved out 6 years ago. I tried to have a relationship with her by visiting her and calling her, however her constant criticism never stopped, she says things like 'you are ugly compare to others', 'it was good that i beat you while you were young' or 'you may never get inheritance if i don't like you' etc, she just have to ruin every interaction i have with her, so 7 months ago i've decided to cut her off my life compeletly, no more visit or calling, i've also changed my phone number. Now she comes to my home twice a week and knock on my door, lucky i was at work, she leave food and vege outside my door with sweet notes, what should I do with this crazy woman? if she hates me so much, why bother to be nice to me now?

My husband has two children from a previous marraige. His daughter is 25 and his son is 19. His son lives with us still and we pay for everything because he is in school BUT he doesnt help out with chores or ANYTHING ELSE. He eats and sleeps and goes out and parties with his friends when he isnt in school. His daughter doesnt live with us but comes over almost daily to eat. When I have expressed my frustrations to my husband he just gives his kids money behind my back and he reminds me that we are helping my daughter who is grown but cant live on her own because she is going through a horrible divorce and custody battle. She isnt getting support and cant afford rent. She is trying to get the ok through court to move to a cheaper state but she is stuck right now. Should I be upset that his kids take so much? Is it fair that we support them because we have to help my daughter?

let's see.. i know that my ancestors and grandparents were from guangdong, china. then they moved to vietnam and that's where my parents were born. and then i was born there too. i moved to the us when i was five and now im very fluent in english but i speak a little bit of cantonese and not one bit of vietnamese. now the subcultures.. at school, im an emo, a loner, a rocker, and a punker. i have dark brown hair with blonde highlights and vietnamese features. im 13 years old, 5'2", and 97 pounds. what am i?

is my daughter on a diet or something?
i'm not sure, but she might be...
i've noticed her making tea a lot and not drinking any of the diet cokes in the fridge, which she once loved! i've also noticed there are still the small bags of chips in the cabinet. i went to the grocery store today and told her i was going, usually she'll say "mom i want some..." and list something. usually funyuns.

she's not fat at all. she's 5'4 i think, and about 120-130lb.
should i ask her, or would that offend her?

Everytime she see me playing with myself she gets me naked and bends me over her lap and spanks me for up to 2 1/2 hours with her hand and paddle, and she says it is very bad to play with yourself.

I am a victim of abuse. I am also depresssed. My sister-in-law abused me when she just moved in with our family. She only lived with my family for a few months. I hardly knew her, and she didn't make any impression on my family (stayed in her room 24/7). She kicked me and she hit me on the head. While yelling at me, my brother (her husband) was verbally abusing me. And threatening to hit me saying things like "i useto be in a gang" and "i useto shoot at people." Like a total psycho. He even turned tables and pushed chairs over. He wouldn't leave me alone while i tried twalked away! I was so scared. Everyone who found out about this said what they did was wrong. I have forgiven them, but can't forget.

My sister-in-law wants a relationship with me now... She's manipulative...and didn't apologize for her actions. She blames it on her parents... I feel like this is unacceptable. Should I have her in my life? Why can't she just say sorry??

Well, today we got our report cards and I got all A's and two A+'s. I am in seventh grade. So, my mom was like "Good job!" and I was like "So, does that mean I can have a cell phone?" And she said "no." I think that's totally unfair. I do better that a whole bunch of other people who get like C's and shop at abercrombie and hollister or whatever and have cell phones. I think I should at least be rewarded. I'm mad.

p.s. last trimester i got an A-, and my mom got pretty mad.

I've been really sick this past month and when I started to get better I'd get hit with some other ailment. This past week I've been feeling better but haven't gone to work because I've fallen into a kind of depression. Last week my only living relative on my fathers side was diagnosed with stomach cancer and the doctors gave her one week to live. It's been over a week but she's really very ill and it looks like she could go any day now. About a few days ago my grandmothers sister, the only living relative of my grandmothers generation and time in my family had a pretty bad stroke and the doctors expect the worst. Last week my sister was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and her health is pretty bad and her family is going through so much hardships right now. I can't seem to drag myself to do anything, work, school. What should I tell my bosses to make them understand? I need the job and am afraid they'll be angry and fire me.
