it is my engagment party in 2 weeks my uncle who is the same age as my brother(i know weird) a few years back we all were very close until he got a gf who hates us now he does not talk to us so 2 nights ago i got his number but did not call until tonight when i did he was short with me and said he was going away that weekend whitch is bullshit because my gran(his mum) is stayin their so i just said ok told him i did not want him to feel bad or left out and i hung up then my sister called to say he rang her and his gf got on the phone abused her and hung up so i then called back to apoloigises and he told me to f off and leave him alone he then called my brother and told him that his gf is now thinking leagal action against my sister for thinking that she gave me their number when she didnt so did i do the right thing?

Okay, I have an older brother who just turned 31 yesterday (I will be 27 in February), and I haven't talked to him in over 3 years. The last time anyone (other than me) in my family talked to him was over 5 years ago. Considering his birthday was yesterday, I've been thinking about him quite a bit. I don't even know if he's alive, married, has children or anything. I want to try to locate him and talk to him just to see how he's doing, but I'm not sure if I should. I'm not sure why he stopped talking to our family, I just know that he hurt our mother badly. She won't even mention him on holidays or anything. She considers me as her only son these days. He was physically, emotionally, and mentally abusive towards me until I was 17, but I've forgiven him for it. I also know that depression runs in my family and that all the abuse might be a byproduct of the condition.

Do you think that I should try to contact him? And if so, how would I go about finding him?

Hi, I'm an American but I was raised abroad since I was 8 years old. I got married to a 12 year old girl when I was 35. Please undestand that this is acceptable and legal where I am from. Now, she's 14 years old and I'm 37. We're going to the US for the first time together to spend time visiting relatives and showing my country to her. Will people in the states stare at us on public places? I mean, will we stand out too much? If so, will people say things to us or something? Will I be considered a pedophile? I haven't been in the US since I was 15 so I have no idea of how people will react to this. I have researched this subject on the net and with my parents but I would like to know what you think. Thanks.

ok my mom has this girlfriend that has been around for years. i hate her she is a stuck up *****. i finally got her to the point where she moved out. my mom always complaines about her and my mother also started drinking heaveliy because of it. now my mom is letting this woman stay over more often and now she is gonna move back in . i'm 18 and i have a job. but i'm afraid if i move out this woman is gonna just leave again an stick my mom with the bills. please tell me what should i do.

Bear with me I know this is kind of long

My mom and I use to be really close and talk every day. A couple of weeks ago I decided to not attend the church she is at. She is upset and says that I am going to regret raising my children this way when I realize it's wrong.
Anyway, She calls me every morning after dropping my brother off at school. Friday she asked me if she could keep my kids Monday night so that my hubby and I could go out for our 4th anniversary. (since she really isn't speaking to me other than her daily morning call she is missing the kids. I said yes! that would be great
-seeing as we haven't had a night kid free since our last anniversary. Monday morning came and she never called.. I thought ok thats weird she calls every morning. I didn't really want to call her because I just didn't feel comfortable saying "hey it's my anniversary remember you were going to watch the kids?" So I waited and waited..
She didn't call again this morning and I actually thought something might be wrong so I finally gave in and called but didn't ask about what had happened. It crossed my mind Monday night that last week she had offered to watch them on a Friday but then "got plans" and it suddenly changed to a Wednesday -they were sick and could not go though ` anyway she finally calls
at 6 pm tonight and says "Oh I got busy taking down my Christmas tree yesterday and I never heard from you about the boys? Why don't you let them spend the night tom night? -Which again is a Wednesday~ Is she trying to fool me to get them to go to church with her? I am a little hurt that she didn't remember my anniversary since I even buy them presents for theirs! I just wanted
her to remember. Am I overeacting? I just felt like I at least deserved an apology? Or do you think it was my responsibility to call her?

Well I've felt this way for a long time but Im sure I have depression. Well I read up on it tonight and realized I had all the symptoms and I don't want to feel this way no more. My family has a bad history with clinic depression, and my mom set me up an appointment to see why I sleep so much but I'm sure its because of my depression. How should I tell her, or should I just talk to the doctor first?

I hear from various family members, my parents, brothers, aunts, uncles, ect. that i talk too much and they find me annoying. And this makes me not want to go to family functions of any kind. I don't want to go to easter, christmas,thanksgiving, family reunions, or even get togethers not on holidays.

Usually when i'm at these functions i am by myself. So when i talk to someone, i like to tell them lots and get caught up on things.. But now that they say these things about me, i don't wanna go.

I have not gone to some, and when my folks come home they tell me that everyone was wondering where i was because they wanted to see me.

so do they really want to see me or not? i'm so confused.

My sister is 28,she has 3 children.She is collecting disability&she has a live-in boyfriend who can work but,doesn't.Her income is only $600 month.Her oldest son,also collected disability but, she signs the check over to his dad.This is half of her income given to another male bum.She is currently in the eviction process of her apartment.She made a decision about 2 months ago against my advice,not to pay her rent because she said the landlord didn't fix anything.She was going to save money for a new apartment.I knew she couldn't save but, she assured me she had $1500 saved.Today,she admitted to me she has no money.I had to buy them formula,food and diapers.She had not made the efforts to sign up for food stamps,etc.She will be given 3 dys notice to get out.We have 3 xtra bdrms for her or give her $ to get a new apartment.But,we've been in this situation before and since August 2005 have spent $16K bailing her out.Do I help?or does she go to a shelter til she is ok on her own. Help!
