I cannot answer your question from experience, but Seattle has the highest intelligenge level of population in the country.

I'm here in Tacoma now and was raised here. Right now it is about 25 out and snow on the grown BNRRRRRRR.Schools are ok like most of them in the U S
Lot of fun thing to do in the summer time and winter to Seattle is a big joke a lot of want to Be's lives there. They think they are the only city in Washington.

We lived there for 3 years, I truly miss the time we had as a family.
Camping, fishing, and crabbing.....

You make any place you live.....the place you want to be.

They have two great zoos that we went to. Point Difance (sp) and one in Seattle....
The kids loved it.

They also loved picking their own fruit and watching how I could make it a cobblers....
White Rainer cherries....yummy the best.
all in all we really enjoyed Washington

I cant speak for Perth but Adelaide is a great place to bring up kids. You either have the country or the beaches or the city to live in.We live in the country and I think is great.

I moved to South/West Washington from Central California in 1998 and I love it .It's an outdoorsman's paradise.

My daughter, son-in-law, who is Navy, and my three grandchildren lived in WA for over a year, she loved it there. Matter a fact they maybe taking orders to return there. :( They don't seem to like VA too much.

I live in Seattle and yes there are a ton of things for families such as the pacific science center, Seattle center, seattle aqarium, thier are mariners games in spring and summer and Seahawks games in fall/winter. thier are movie theatres, parks, meuseums, arcades you name it it's there.
