As long as he is on the birth certificate as the father, he is "legally" responsible for the child. That means he has to pay child support and all other responsibilities provided by fathers (insurance, daycare, etc). He would have to get an atttorney to go to court to contest the paternity- pay for the DNA test to prove he is NOT the father in order to have his name removed from the birth certificate and get out of any legal responsibility. Obviously, he is not a great guy and you are better off without him. don't marry the guy, leave him, contact the local DHS office to set up child support payments- they will do it all for you. Good luck.

He signed the birth certificate which is a legal document. If he signed the birth certificate even with a DNA that proves he is not the father he may still be on the hook in certain states for things like child support. signing the birth certificte is a legal declaration of paternity. If there is a hard *** judge and says that he was never sure to the judge he may be charged with fraud and falsifaction of documents and then still be on the hook. tell him that and he will shut his trap rather fast

NO. If he doesn't signal the beginning certificate you could record a paternity in structure. they're going to order him to take position for a paternity attempt. If the paternity attempt proves he's the daddy OR he doesn't take position they placed his call on the beginning certificate and also you'll sue for toddler help. A social worker will likely help with the technique in maximum states. the in reality way he can get out of kid help by signing over his rights is that if: a.) you compromise AND b.) you both in no way record for public suggestion OR some different person is keen to undertake the youngster.

Get a paternal test done, and go to an attorney. You can't force this sperm donor to act like a father, so I hope you have a good male influence in the child's life.

What do you want to do? You knew he had a child with an X already. On top of that he denied the child with her.
You won't like my response, but its BOTH of your faults. You could have you played it safe and waited till marriage?

Take deadbeat Dad to court, they will order that very expensive DNA test that HE will pay for, when the results come back, say to him: "Enough Said."
